I'm not surprised that Russia would try to influence our elections. What I find hugely hypocritical on our government's part is how many overseas elections has the U.S. covertly influenced, and how many dictators have we supported through the years???? The U.S. will point out China's lack of human rights yet are allies with Saudi Arabia who have one of the worst human rights record in history!

America needs to start minding their own business and start leading by example. Not "do as I say, not what I do."

There is no scenario where that would my brain viewed as provocative, hence the new tension.

It all stems from that

So basically, we're all screwed because of that, and realistically given the history between Ukraine and Russia, there just wasn't much chance of Ukraine wanting to have much to do with that. Could Putin have expected otherwise?

Because the Left has a great expertise in finding excuses for their own failures! thats why! After a while people realize this and start to raise questions.

Like Bush destroying the economy and blaming Obaba for it.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't believe the Russian hacking narrative because wikileaks is more truthful then the intelligence community. And according to wikileaks, the email leaks came from Democratic whistleblowers. I also believe this Russian hacking narrative is payback from Obama for Trumps support of the brither movement.

Screwed? No. Just a period of tension IMO.

We've always been competitive militarily, economicly and now cyber wise.

We'll just here doom porn about it all now there is tangible tension.

But I won't dismiss it as a threat.

Probably...But more importantly it benefited America...

hey hey hey....no facts allowed in right-wing bubbleland....haven't you been told that's it's all the fault of liberals.....even though over 60% of state governments have been controlled by republicans for years now, and the senate and house have been republican for the last 6 years, the only one that's to blame for all the problems has been the one democrat in power, the president....now that he's going to be gone, the right will control THE ENTIRE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, including the supreme court and 33 out of 50 state governments, so the only people left to blame IS THE MEDIA!!!....thanks to all of you for bringing to power the neo-fascists, where billionaires rule and the poor get screwed...

If the Russkies did, and there is considerable doubt, leak the DNC emails (as opposed to the wikileaks emails, a different matter) we owe them a debt of gratitude. NO ONE has said those emails are fakes. They simply exposed the nefarious dealings of the Democrats. Everyone here screams "Full Disclosure!" about everything. Well, you got t. If you could have done it, wouldn't you have? So what's the purpose of blaming the Russians again? They did our job for us. I hope for continuing cooperation.

The point is not whether or not Russia tried to influence our election. The fact that the media, Obama and avowed Trump enemies, such as McCain are promoting/stressing Russia- now a subtle shift from 'Russia' to 'Russian hackers'- over DNC manipulation of their own process for their candidate, the subtle moves in the debates, 'legalizing' non-citizen voting, the list goes on.

The overall intent is creating a perception that Trump's election is somehow illegitimate to justify non-cooperation and outright opposition to the duly elected Administration.

Fortunately, I believe the majority of Americans-and the rest of the world-is fully aware of this.

A quite news time, overall, helps fill the void of real news.....

criminality and yet no indictments after the FBI did a yearlong investigation, you people don't work well in reality....maybe Trump can sell out a few European countries to make sure his massive businesses dealings in Russia can stay intact, so him and his family can make billions and billions off of his presidency....white house or trump house is now up for sale....besides the wealthy 1%, NEED those tax breaks, so they can own more than the 50% of America's assets they already have.....

hey I can accept that he won and still not like him much....

but if that is all you can say, then I guess I'll be moving along because quite frankly,
ATS has become a cesspool.

Yes...it has...

It is a testing ground for propaganda...

I saw value when it was an exchange of honest alternative views...but there is a dark cloud of unapologetic dishonesty..where people just happily hone their lies and propaganda campaigns.

If all evidence contrary to propaganda theme is met with vitriol and lies...what is the point? Interjecting logic or honesty just serves to hone the lie...it begins with the intent to sell a lie, not to honestly debate and discover truth...that is a different climate.

ATS might have run it's course as a place to "Deny Ignorance".

Have you got any updates on the Russian hacking of the Vermont electric grid you were telling us about?

More FALSE OUTRAGE imagery. The Democrats cannot possibly blame their platform being rejected by the citizens at the voting booth. (Which it very much was)

This is how out of touch they are? No. This is the social engineering and group mind control tactics they will always refuse to give up on.

The Democrats refuse to acknowledge that the citizens are shouting that the emperor has no clothes. The Democrats are saying the citizens are wrong and the emperor is perfectly clothed... still.

WHAT IS INTERESTING...is how fake news sites have declared it fake news...and propagandists like yourself are selling the Russian Agenda.
