we have a few in this area. Mostly, its folks preying on the gullible. Like fortune tellers (which is what they basically are, with some red threads on the forehead for good measure)

Some folks are rather simple, too. And this simple nature plays into it all.

So far, however, i've not run into anyone wearing flayed skin. And least not from a human.

When the skin is on a statue, it is a place to live, for gods, or random spirits.. But however, there is a way, to speak to the dead,
usually it was used to contact ancestors or loved ones that have passed, but in some cases, it was indeed used to gather information of ones enemies..

But as usual, there is a price to pay, and a catch, the price is paid from the body, and there is a fifty-fifty chance, that this method will stop your heart from beating, and will result in a painful death.

The catch is that the dead envy the living, and all of them will try to lure or trick you, they want you to stay.
