No. These were your words. Clear as day.

Oh yes, that dreaded "Out of Context" where you can twist any wording to mean what you want it to say.

Let's play games.

The question was: "Do I think home schooling should be illegal". The answer: NO. Because SOME children (such as a disabled child) might suffer bullying and might do better at home.

The parents of that same child may have other children in the public school, which they support.

My grandson who I'm raising is high functioning Autistic. His public school has specialists and programs for his needs. Some I wasn't sure about, but turns out they were right and I was wrong. If I'd kept him home, I would've made mistakes and he wouldn't be mainstreamed as he is today.

Here is Home Schooler's Anonymous. You can read the Pro's and Con's for yourself: homeschoolersanonymous.org...

Derision, nice. Give me a break Annee.

Look, yesterday I put to you that you made it sound as if not supporting public schools is ludicrous, to which you responded "it is". Your exact words, and your only words in response. I will post a link to the thread if you'd like, but I believe you know exactly what I am referring to.

Here you've said that "Some children that would be bullied at school are probably better off home schooled." Without even needing to expound on specific cases, you clearly admit that there are at least some cases in which it would not be ludicrous for a parent to not have their child educated in public schools. OK?

At no point did I state anything in absolutes, and I have twisted nothing.

That's fine. I was never even attacking you over how you educate your child, nor was I browbeating you over how I choose to educate mine. Cheers.

Y'know, it's # like this that make me very glad I don't have kids, and is actually making me not want to have them at all. There are many rules I'm perfectly ok with following, and there are some that are so ridiculous that they need to be changed, and the ones who created them need to be slapped.

How sinister. Treating parents like predators... How could they feel ok sending their kids there?

Makes you start to wonder where the real predators are doesn't it?

If they can't trust the parents in the school, then I couldn't trust my kid there.

I don't support home schooling.

We know. You think the state gulags ought to raise your children into good, obedient little state drones who know all 57 genders but can't read or write at grade level.

Don't worry.

We do send ours to a small private school. They can be fairly reasonable on rate if you shop around and check them out and do a really good job at educating, and somehow, we can have pick up and drop off queue where no one manages to be a jerk and it all gets done quickly and efficiently.

Actually it seems they are lying by omission.

In the afternoon, the primary way for parents to pick up their child is either through the car rider line or the bus. However parents who want to walk their child home from school are allowed to do so with the understanding they are dismissed after car riders.

So no you can't just walk and get your child. You have to sit there and wait, because the school knows best and parents can't be trusted to get their child home safe.

“We release students at 3:25 p.m. and the car rider line is usually completed by 3:48-3:52 p.m. and we release walkers at 3:50 or sooner as the drive line diminishes,” she said. “No parent has been arrested for wanting to pick up their child and walk home.”

3:25 school is out .. you have to sit and wait until 3:50 if you want to walk your child home. So what if you get cited and not arrested ...

What the hell kind of legal basis do they have to even attempt this, not only requiring children to be either bused or carred, but parents charged with TRESPASSING?

Pick your child up from school and you could be charged with trespassing. That's the threat against parents at Bear Branch Elementary School in Magnolia ISD

This is absurd and insane. Someone needs to keep walking his or her kid to school. If that person should actually get arrested, s/he should create the biggest legal storm imaginable.
