Why do my posts shift slightly to the left sometimes on my droid? They move just enough to cover the first character on the left margin. Then it corrects itself after a couple replies (but not always).

What causes this, and how do I prevent it???

Drives me nuts not to be able to see the first character on the whole left margin!!!!!!

But don't worry,...Obama is punishing them.

I don't like the mobile version.

I use the desktop version on my phone.

It hasn't happened to me in a while.
Have you emptied your cache recently?

EDT: sorry. Missed you were using your phone.

I was thinking that posts seem to always lean to the right, but you're not talking politics are you.

Not even sure I know how to do that on this phone

Computer, sure, but phone, not so much.

From everything I have tried ATS seems to be on point as far as responsiveness... from a "Responsive Website" point of view.

To expand on what IAMTAT is suggesting.. what method are you accessing ATS on your phone?

Not sure I understand your question.

I am using the mobile app which installed automatically on my phone when I first visited with this android phone. Does that help?

Does it have something to do with the tool bar menu wrap when you click on the pancake stack?

Only shifts "your" reply left the other posts above appear lined up.

I'm talking about post reply formatting.

This is not about political leaning.

No, that just pulls /drops down over the posts as it should.

This is the last post in every thread being shifted to the left about 1+ characters. It basically covers almost the whole first star...and you can't slide it right either.

Also makes it hard to star a post unless it already has a couple stars.

Yeah I caught that and edited before your comment. Apologies! My S6 does that once in awhile, never happens with my tablet. I just close out and reopen. Rarely happens, never multiple times in a row. Maybe something to do with ad blockers??? No real idea.

Yes.

I would advise to use the mobile version of ATS via your default Internet Browser.. I would choose Chrome but that is preferential.

I don't think much love has been shown to the app.. respectfully of course. I'd recommend using the mobile version via your preferred mobile internet browser.

To clarify...

Responsive web design (RWD) is an approach to web design aimed at allowing desktop webpages to be viewed in response to the size of the screen or web browser one is viewing with.

Open your phone's browser, go to settings, and clear cookies, cache and history...leave passwords and form info alone if you want...

I do this on my phone every couple days or so...

OP stated..

I am using the mobile app

Your instruction will have no effect on the ATS mobile app for Android... (which is no longer available on the Google Play App Store, therein my response was on the assumption the OP was using a deprecated version, whereby I suggested accessing through their browser instead).

So, I should just blow the whole thing up, and clear everything, and start anew. (all the saved stuff)

Okay.

I'm good with that.

Here we go!

Perhaps because I dont use the ATS app...I just choose my browser to show the desktop version. Its also on Android, so is my tablet...And I switch to it all the time...and go in any clear my history, cache, cookies etc...everywhere on them.*

*ie: browser, settings etc.

Thanks

PS. Ive never experimented with the ATS browser...but my method has always been to bookmark ATS url NEW...and leave myself signed on/in always...and it opens and performs fine
