I would also bet there was no box cutter, most likely car keys or house keys.

And you would be correct. There was a box cutter... but it was never in his hand. The cops "found" it about 10 feet away from him.

Collie was charged with aggravated assault on a public servant and spent 61 days handcuffed to a hospital bed as he recovered from the gunshot wound to his spine. A grand jury dismissed the charges. The box cutter was found 10 feet away from where Collie was shot, according to the police report.

From the video we can obviously see that Collie never assaulted these officers, and that he never even approached them. He was walking away from them! And then to keep him handcuffed to his hospital bed while awaiting the grand jury results for his non-existent crime? Because this paraplegic is just going to walk away???

This is some sick stuff.

ETA: Found this from his attorney too:

"There are conflicting reports in the different city police reports they have written, they have various different narratives and they're inconsistent," Washington said.

The rot always starts at the top. The street cops couldn't get away with this crap if they weren't being protected from the top, and they wouldn't try if they didn't know they'd be protected at the top.
