It was for me to also until the new DLC.
Haven't turned the game on since I tried it the first day the dlc came out.

Been hammering final fantasy 15 though. 120 hours and counting.

Survival is one of the only game modes ever that has given me a rush while playing. It is a completely different gaming experience.

Disclaimer: can also be incredibly frustrating at first.

If were talking about aesthetics. I never understood how the look of the game world or the look of the character can affect someone so much. To the point where someone can not enjoy the game because the world is not familiar to their surroundings and culture, or because the main character does not look like them. It just seems weird to me. Why paint yourself into a corner.

Here's the crux of my issue. The answer is that I do not know but the Eastern culture themed games just turn me off. To the point where I don't want to play the game. Sad but true unfortunately.

You wont enjoy any game that you have to pretend to be okay with some aspect, or ignore cimpletely.

If you cant find it, make it!

Decided to give Archeage a spin. Find out what the hate is all about.

I researched Archeage when I was looking for a MMO to play. From what I read. I think people loved the mechanics of the game but then they changed to a pay to win format. So now it is a money sink. Could be wrong though. Never played it. Just read a bunch of online rants about the game.

I don't think a stylistic preference makes you a racist, just choosy

Hey, I needed a catchy title. Gamers are indeed choosy!

I'm thinking about picking up Conan Exiles this weekend, giving that a spin.

Have you tried Dark Souls and Lords of the Fallen yet? If not, why not?

I do own LoTF. I played most of it...then got sidetracked.

Wanted to try DS but I'm not sure which one is even current atm. The graphics from the letsplays that I've watched look really good and really fluid controls.

Conan Exiles is the first survival game that I am actually interested in, simply because it is a Conan game. But I have been reading that it is not running so good right now. A bit of a broken launch. The only thing they got absolutely right is their self imposed Dong quota.

I'll probably pick it up in a few months when its on sale.

I was thinking of waiting also but it looks like a good void filler. Building, exploration, RPG elements and crafting. Something i can put 20 minutes into or a few hours and be just fine.

Well Dark Souls 3 is the current one... 1 is a good place to start though, I wouldn't bother with 2 and 3 is back on form.

LotF however, imo is worse than DS. BUT the developers do have a sci-fi style hardcore action/adventure RPG along the same vein as LotF in the works, so that's worth keeping an eye on if you can shove sci-fi into your list

I tend to steer clear of sci-fi. Just not my thing or I have not exposed myself to it enough.

Going to give Conan Exiles a try, then probably Dark and Light then surely Pantheon.
