This article pretty much tells it all.
Sometime ago I had dug into Snopes and had written a short opinion on their lack of validity and credibility.
Of course that report would never have seen the light of day, but it is nice to see someone else take the same content public.

My purpose in mentioning Pizzagate details is not to demonstrate the authenticity of the Pizzagate allegations. That others are doing with far more resources. Rather, it is to point out the time synchronicity of the explosive Pizzagate email releases by Julian Assange’s Wikileaks web blog, with the launch of a massive mainstream media and political campaign against what is now being called “Fake News.” The cited New York Times article that Wikipedia cites as “debunking” the Pizzagate allegations states, “None of it was true. While Mr. Alefantis has some prominent Democratic friends in Washington and was a supporter of Mrs. Clinton, he has never met her, does not sell or abuse children, and is not being investigated by law enforcement for any of these claims. He and his 40 employees had unwittingly become real people caught in the middle of a storm of fake news.” The article contains not one concrete proof that the allegations are false, merely quoting Alefantis as the poor victim of malicious Fake News. That New York Times story was accompanied by a series of articles such as “How Fake News Goes Viral: A Case Study.” Another headline reads, “Obama, With Angela Merkel in Berlin, Assails Spread of Fake News.” Then on November 19, strong Clinton supporter, Facebook billionaire Mark Zuckerberg is quoted in a prominent article titled, “Facebook Considering Ways to Combat Fake News, Mark Zuckerberg Says.” Facebook uses CIA Censors journal-neo.org...

The "Fake news" meme is out there now, one of the things this US Reality show nightmare of an election have given us and it will be the small independent investigative journalist that will suffer, not the big boys.

This sticks out at me.

The article contains not one concrete proof that the allegations are false

So, the allegations are just that, allegations. And is there proof that those allegations are themselves true. I ask because this statement is calling for truth, right? Or are the allegations just that, allegations built upon suspicions and a smattering of circumstantial evidence and rumor mongering by web based conspiracy fans.

It is up to the accusers to prove guilt, not the accused to prove innocence. That is not the American way, that is unless we are rewriting all the cherished freedoms of our nation.

One of the websites Facebook is to use to arbitrate on 'fake news' is involved in a bitter legal dispute between its co-founders, with its CEO accused of using company money for prostitutes.

I wonder if Snopes will get one of their "authors" to classify this a "False".

Breaking, snopes investigates claims that snopes isn't credible, finds claims to be fake news and has then censored from the internet.

Can we steal your avatar to use on all of these mainstream news versus what the MSM calls "fake" news pieces, X?

I think that xuenchen needs to provide proof that she is not a pedophile and is not eating the flesh of living babies. Go ahead. Prove it.
