I've been bouncing a theory around of making a self powered electric generator based on a closed loop pressurized water pump system where inside there would be a chamber with a spindle with holes drilled at an angle to create spin, hooked up to electric generators somehow to create almost free power.

Here's an example of a system. 20kw system but mine would be closed and constantly pressured to move the water with enough force to move the cylinders.

You and a bunch of other whackos, like the homeless guy who insisted I could install a windmill on my car to generate free electricity... to run the car.

Your OP is bad and you should feel bad.

I think the answers you are looking for can be found in a Keanu Reeves movie whose title I can't remember.

Go and seek him out.

Gas engines works because only a tiny spark unleashes enormous energy. Water contraptions dont because how much energy it takes to crack how much you get just doesn't add up (there's a proper mathematical formula that explains this), unless it's tied in as a harness of a byproduct like say at a nuclear power plant.

now that's funny! I'm just bored.

Ok something you don't seem to be aware of. The reason a turbine will spin is a pressure difference. if you don't release pressure nothing moves to get pressure you either need pumps or in the case of a dam gravity. In your idea if you pressurized your system but never release it you just stored energy. Now you could add a pump to circulate your water problem is a pump will use more energy then you would produce. Put it this way if your idea would work a refrigerator would produce energy. And as well all know by are electric bills that just isn't the case.

I've heard of this kind of contraption before. Unfortunately, perpetual motion machines can't work. Sorry.

Whackos?

Have you never heard of Niagara falls?

When you think about it, ALL water based electricity generating systems are closed loop...considering it's all on this isolated ball we're living on.

And by the way...you can move water 'uphill' using no additional or added power using nothing but pressure differential. (See: Hydraulic Ram pump for more information)

Once it's back 'uphill' using a RAM pump setup, gravity causes it to fall again, generate electricity and then make it's merry way back uphill for another cycle. Of course, there isn't just 'one unit of water' going around this cycle, but a constant flow, backed up by a constantly replenished header (lake, pond, pipe...)

Just like any other hydro-electric generator around the world today.

the laws of physics say no

That's the thing about laws...we make them, and to one degree or another, we all tend to break them.

Humans don't like laws, and we're constantly looking for ways to circumvent them.

This applies to physical laws as well as statutes.

Your OP is bad and you should feel bad.

The reason we do not advance as fast as we should is because people like you believe the laws of nature are casted ion stone much like you brain.

Regarding perpetual motion there is at least one device that seems to refute that statement, however overunity devices do work because they are drawing energy from the quantum field.

You might also want to google suppressed inventions.

If people would get off these porno sites and go some serious searching they might find some very interesting technology out there.

And then there is this: www.youtube.com... AND this blog.hasslberger.com...

the water going Niagara Falls was placed at elevation by the sun evaporating water, which rained down above the falls. So hydroelectric power is dilute solar power.

It's quite a different thing to have a generator turn a motor which turns a pump which sprays water on a paddle wheel turning the generator.

Yeah, it's not like there is a giant ball of fire radiating heat and energy on Earth ...

Are you sure you know what you are talking about?
I might be the homeless guy you're referring to.
For one, I'm not homeless.
Nor did I say you can run your car from it.

I said you could run accessories off the battery you charge with it. It's a separate closed-loop system anyone can try for them self...

The problem I see with the water turbine is gravity and the ability to keep the flow of water at capacity, above the turbine.

Hydraulic ram pumps raise a small amount of water from the flow of a large amount of water. If you tried to power one with a pool of water, having it empty back into the pool, it would quickly run dry. Water on the Earth is raised by evaporation, which is powered by the sun.

These are closed systems. If nothing enters the system (like flowing water or solar energy), the system cannot be self-sustainable. The OP describes a closed system; it will require more energy to operate than it will produce.

I'm not going to make the statement that energy production outside our experience is not possible... but it will require operation outside of a closed system. Thus far we haven't been able to accomplish that. It will also require a working proof-of-concept model, thanks to so many impossible ideas being loudly proclaimed as truth by those who know no better.

Oh, and man does not make natural law. We simply work with them.

what if there was a man who never stopped, served as the worlds working model, operated outside the existence of all things, but did so merely as ability for use as a tool. I imagine the embodiment of the absolute might not have any personal agenda of its own. A purely primal part of earth And everyone qualified to use such a tool took the opportunity to say "nuh-uh" "are not either".

Why are you taking so much of pain in building a generator... You can buy a new generator for yourself. Are you an engineer?
