Love your reply thank you! I think i'm somewhat unforgettable. But here I am lol.

I used to write often, but then tragedy prevented that, and now i've begun again. It's healing for me. I am greatful to those who've read my accounts. Right now, it's the hardest. I've lost most of the people I've loved during Winter, and I am finding solace in being here. I am also greatful to those who understand. Thank you again, I'm really glad to be here.

Doing great, I'm working like a horse but other than that things are going pretty smooth actually!

Now about weather. Could you shift the jet stream that is causing all this hideously cold weather. Just move it further north and grant us some snow cover for insulation.
Oh and prepare for spring, last year it warmed up and then we got a cold spot that froze every thing. None of that this year, please. HUGS

I'd love to give it a try, but north from where? Hehe, North America is a pretty big place.

I used to think you were Canadian, because you often refer to temperature in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. But I know you said you aren't in Canada. So I'm puzzled.

I'm so sorry to hear that winter is a bad time for you.
But I'm doubly glad that you've started writing again AND that you've moved into the shed with us!

I find that creative writing allows me to drift away from my troubles for an hour or two...

I'm self-employed and my accountant always gets a laugh when they see my accounts!!

Now, go pick out a room and I'll help you in with your bags...
You can leave your cares and worries behind the kitchen back door, next to mine!

That would be lovely. It is -18F equals -27C at the moment, my front door was frozen shut this morning. It leaks a little so the condensation from the humidifier froze.

I hope everyone had an outstanding xmas.
Sorry for my absence, but ive been so busy this past month.
Funny as it sounds, but im back at work now, so things should slow down a bit.

I took a month off for holidays and to get things done around the house and on the business side of things.

We had an incredible xmas.
And the new year is off to an amazing start.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very monumental year for myself and the business I am part of.

I got a call from the Canadian Mining Association yesterday and was asked to do a Ted Talk in June on drones in underground mining.
New years day I checked my lotto ticket and had a nice surprise waiting for me: $1002.00
Plus got a raise at work...and we're just 1 week in so far!!!

I hope everyone's new year is off to a bang.

Oh don't we all love puzzles. . The reference to Celsius is due to having spent the majority of my life in civilized northern Europe. Metric is logical.
So I am close to Canada but not on the border.

Funny I just thought of you yesterday wondering how you are?

I can handle the temps but my poor puppies can't. Especially the Rottie. She is very active but her feet freeze up even just to go potty. So I have a frustrated giant who tries to play with the cats and her beagle friend in the most friendly manner. But she is too clumsy and steps on them.
And her "play bark" sounds like a roar in a cave.
-35 huh, stay warm, I gotta get more wood in, I let the fire die last night. Brrr.

Oh My a Ted Talk. I listen to that all the time. Congrats buddy.

Quick Update:

I'm just back from visiting mum at the hospital.
She was much weaker today.
Very tired and listless. I think she's really fed up with it all now.

They still haven't given her any form of treatment, apart from pain relief and oxygen, since she was rushed back in on 31st Dec.

It will be Monday (at least) now before a consultant will see her.

We're all getting more than a little bit worried.

I'm curious about WIS's location also, since I could be described as being "close to the border but not on it." That is a fairly long border, however.

Supposed to get 8 to 12 inches of snow and have a severe weather warning here.
