So the iOvilus app by Bill Chapel from the App Store is creepy as #. I'm not going to lie I don't really believe in these types of Apps since most of them are listed as joke apps on the App Store. iT SEEMS LIKE THE 1ST few readouts are pretty accurate but then it gives you random read outs that may or may not pertain to the situation.

What do it do, OP?

I'll have to check the app later to see what this is all about

What exactly is this app for ? .... I'm confused as to its purpose....but not knowing what the app really is and hearing you say a lot of random reads, just sounds to me like all random reads and just luck of the draw to fit your life at the moment ....just my opinion though . I do believe in the paranormal, but that many random reads is a red flag to me.

Sounds interesting I don't have a cell phone or tablet so I don't really know much about apps, but if it is supposed to tell you about energies or what's supposed to happen it sounds pretty cool.

It is like the Ghost radar that I have on my android. These things are scary for sure. Intriguing as well though, a bit addictive if you have "ghost" issues in your abode.

It seems to me that the word that is generated by the app gets put into some form of context by the reader.
In other words the word has no meaning until the user starts looking for one. From your own experiment this results in 11 out of 37 'relevant' hits. Not that impressive, especially considering the stretch you have to make with some of these hits.
I could definitely see some more hits there.
Like 'disturb' - The app disturbed me from my work cause I had to look what word it produced. Yeah, pretty impressive

Thanks for sharing, although those connections seem like a stretch to an outsider. Probably creepier to you than us.

I won't get that app. At best it's a waste of time and money. At worst it could open a door that I can't close. No thanks... but I still enjoy reading your findings.

If you work for them you're making them good money. I bought it. It's not doing anything.

Just random words. I've tried the Ovilus and a few other generators, same thing

Ghost Adventures are one of the worst when it comes to REAALLY stretching to make these random words fit the situation.

I do agree that the GA Crew do stretch there evidence quite a bit but they do get a lot of interesting light anomalies on camera.

However the fact that I was on my Shift at work and the 1st word it said was shift i was just like no fing way im done.

Unless your phone/every ghostbox has some kind of ability to detect some various complicated stuff that even modern scientific equipment worth billions of dollars has difficulty finding, then... I have every doubt they work at all.

There's a thing called confirmation bias, which you can see quite well in your analysis of what the App spit out. Confirmation bias means that you purport and truly believe that you have achieved either a positive or negative result through the lens of your preexisting beliefs. In your analysis, negative results were completely ignored, while even the most tenuous links to your current situation were noted as positives.

To sum, don't worry about what a ghost app says. Worry if something throws a bowl at your head.

In my analysis i put Negative results as //Probably Random Sequence Number. What I have found with all these various GH apps from the app store is that the 1st few results always seem to be pretty accurate but then it gives me random listings for whatever reason.

I think ill be sticking to getting passive EVPs as they seem to be the most accurate despite the conversary surroundings mistaken noises for voices.

The more analog you can go with your evp equipment, the better. Anything that records onto a magnetic strip is more susceptible to manipulation by things that have very little kinetic energy (IE bodiless entities or residual haunts). Digital may give clarity, but analog will give quantity.

Yo Check this one i captured this morning im blown away. In the clip you will here me breathing than a voice will come through WHILE I am breathing. I believe it is saying "I'm Lost" then you will hear me start to move around almost like my unconscious mind is responding to the voice. I believe this is a Class A EVP. I didn't have to do any enhancements to it.

soundcloud.com...

And then this EVP was captured a minute afterwards

None of it is actually random, you just haven't figured it out yet. I downloaded one one time and had to quickly delete it.

Why did you have to get rid of whatever you had downloaded, was it listening in to your conversations or the surroundings and just pushing out random samplings for speech to text conversions? (Depending on the accuracy of the conversion, you could get a decent positive hit rate on words that have more meaning to you because you have just used or heard them recently)
Or, was the app seeming to bring bad energy into your home/ live?
