I can understand "Anti-American" and "Anti-Israel" although I would like to point out I am only against those who support these fascist government.
However, "pro Nazi"? that is the first time I have ever been accused of something like this.

Let's see then, I am pro-freedom, anti-war and believe in peace, love and equality and see ourselves as children of god. Do those sound like Nazi attributes to you?

However, you are supporting a pro-fascist government(whose family funded Hitler) cheering on it's genocide and invasions of sovereign countries, as well as it's oppression and anti-freedom measures against your own people. Now I get it; you were psychologically projecting.

Have you noted that whenever we hear of such a barbaric and henious crime by the US or Israel, there is always a group of people who will try and justify it by pointings fingers at others. Take, note of these people, because these are people you are up against today.

The minute one speaks out against Zionism ones labeled as "Anti-Semetic." The minute one speaks out against the acts commited by the Isrealies against a peopels opressed by them for decades, ones considered "Anti-Semetic." It's just a load of # if you ask me. 3.8 million Palestinians exiled, opressed, killed and quite literaly displaced due to thier creed, and we are supposed to feel remorse for Jews being targetted by "terrorists" ?

I don't like to speak much about the Israel-Palestinian topic.

Just a small historical note.

I recall within a couple of months of posting at ATS, that a certain member with a biblical name was banned for referring to some Moderators as Nazis.

It is a slur on someone who is not a fascist, and it is not warranted.

Why are staff persisting in that, here?

Dunno.
Why don't you name them, then ask them.
Better yet, why don't you list them and file a suggestion/complaint so that the entire staff can review and address this matter that you bring forth?

And still no one ransacking the Israelis for this incident will admit that it's tragic when this happens on BOTH sides. In fact, none of you even acknowledges the incidents when they happen to an Israeli child.

Why do some of you lack the capability to see it is wrong to happen to either one of them?

The ignorance smells like a public toilet folks.

Masked Avatar - (only) since it was you asking all those questions, the answer is pretty much, yes.

Indigo child - since you keep invoking the word, I thought you might be interested in the definition and how it seems to curiously relate to your stated points of view.

What is Fascism?

This may surprise most educated people. One of the more common government strategies today, especially in developing regions is fascism. Fascism is commonly confused with Nazism. Nazism is a political party platform that embraces a combination of a military dictatorship, socialism and fascism. It is not a government structure. Fascism is a government structure. The most notable characteristic of a fascist country is the separation and persecution or denial of equality to a specific segment of the population based upon superficial qualities or belief systems.

Simply stated, a fascist government always has one class of citizens that is considered superior (liberals?) to another (conservatives?) based upon race, creed, origin or political beliefs. It is possible to be both a republic and a fascist state. The preferred class lives in a republic while the oppressed class lives in a fascist state.

Now doesn't this sound more like the liberal viewpoint where ONLY they have the answers, know what's best for all the rest of us and that those who don't believe the same way as liberals are stupid? That's what the liberals keep saying all the time, isn't it? And all along I thought the liberals were more like communists than fascists. Now it seems like they've started picking up the traits of both of these "great" systems.

I try to stay out of it as much as possible, as well.

I was called an Anti-Semite today, on television, strangely enough. Why? I was speaking of the Israeli-Palestine issue today in a public forum in a very heated political climate. Was I critical of Israel? Yes, but equally critical of Palestine.

It seem's people on both sides (Israeli's and Palestinians) make it out to be a simple black/white issue, which it certainly is not.

The problem I have with the whole Anti-Semite thing is that the term is thrown around so loosely lately (in my experience). Also that I find the term is highly incorrect. (Semetic people are NOT just Jewish peoples, which is the way it's commonly used).

Anyway, I think when people just throw the term around it loses all weight it has. It's a necessary term because Anti-Semitism (by it's commonly known definition) DOES happen. In throwing the term around loosely and without much thought the meaning the term can, and once did have (IMO) is lost. It's a neccesary coneptual tool that can hold a lot of weight and meaning, but when it's used so commonly (and groundlessly) the meaning can be detracted and that's not a good thing.

Please guys lets not fight and name call. Lets remember that we all are human. We all have faults. We the human race need to learn form our faults. We need to stop with the blaming , and start with the loving. Yes thats right we need to start to love eachother. Hate will only bring death. Not only to our physical bodys but also to are souls. We have lost another belove child. Must we continue to have hate? If we continue to have hate in our hearts we will lose more. I don't want to lose another child to hate. The black cloud of hate will consume us if we let it. I know we can learn to love eachother. If we don't learn to love eachother hate will win, and it will be the end to the human race. And that my beloved humans would be the greatest tragisty of all time. I love you all .

of the world still doesn't understand that 6 million Jews were mass
murdered and that Israel has a right, and a duty, to remind the world so
that it never happens again.

So ... to Abu Muammar ... STFU!

They accounted for 6 million out of the 57 million who were killed.
Why doesn't anyone talk about the other 51 million?
Are the lives of the Jewish persons the only ones worth talking about?

In spite of all the persons who gave their lives fighting the Nazis, Ariel Sharon had the nerve to come out the other day and say: “At the time of the most terrible test, friends and benefactors didn’t lift a finger,”

I would demand an apology from Sharon if I were in the British, Russsian, US or French government.

Regarding the topic of this thread, I'm not surprised by this in the least.
The Israelis shoot have killed many more people than the Palestinians have killed. When people rise up after incidents like this, the Israelis try to elicit sympathy from the world to make it look they are being targeted for no reason, completly ignoring what led up to the attacks.

[edit on 27-1-2005 by AceOfBase]

You know ace while we rarely agree, I have to agree with you here. I heard sharon saying the other day on cnn that "the only people isreal can rely on is isrealis" This of course while being protected by US equuiped soldiers, using US weapons supported by US made planes.

First off, my browser refuses even open an aljazeera website for some reason...LOL good patriotic browser....
but im sure the article would have its usual anti israel slant to start.

Then just look at the title of this thread.....Israeli army MURDERS a 3yr old girl inside her house....

I take exception of emotive substitutions of words to slant a submission....
MURDER implies a willfull seeking out to kill, which I doubt happened...
as this choice word would lead you on to believe...
add the in her house to the word murder, and you can see how low educated generaly impoverished palastinians would latch onto this rhetoric and go yelling "hezballa!!!"

The truth would be a girl was struck by an errant bullet fired by israeli units responding to some kind of incident....ill bet the bullet came from OUTSIDE the girls house and that she was an un-intended target.
BUT as i cant read the article...im unsure of those details..
but
having covered plenty of shootings in philly, the innocents are often hit and killed in a similar fashion as ive described.

My point is...could you please overHYPE the info some more?

Stop fanning the flames in Palestine, treat the Palestinians like they can actually comprehend the truth and hopefully some understanding and peace will come from them...
BUT
keep emotively pumping up the info and coloring it with charged words and its no wonder they wont calm things down and start to build a future.

HECK NO!! Glad you brought that up. I stuck with the Jews killed
by the Nazi's because the yahoo Palestinian called the Jewish
Holocost 'so called'. BUT ... since you brought it up... hundreds of
thousands of Catholics died in the Nazi camps including ST. Edith
Stein and St. Maximillion Kolbe. Hundreds of thousands of mentally
and physically handicapped people died in the camps too. I met a
woman who was enslaved by the Nazis and forced to work in the
mines and such. AMAZING life story. Incredible sadness and death
for those enslaved by the Nazi's, and their stories get lost in the
shuffle. Anna Maria Schmidt is her name. She gives talks to
religious retreats and prayer groups. Amazing woman.

Well they're not doing a very good job. There have been other genocidal attemps after 1945. Infact theres one going on right now and 2 that were going on 5-10 years ago. While I dont support either Israel or Palestin they both have done some bad things.

My prayers are for the children caught in deadly conflict, and innocent women. As for the rest of both sides, F*ck them! Sooner they kill each other out of existance the better. I pray the world will grow tired of death and violence, an a new age of enlightenment, lead by children will reign ever after.
Whenever i hear of more killing, war, and mindless hate filled verbal crap from anyone anywhere, im immediatly overcome with a great sense of deep fatigue, im lost for words, its all meaningless.
Im only 36 and I just cant express how tired of it I am. God I hope it ends in my lifetime, and my kids or atleast theres know nothing of mans mindless violence.
