Hahahaha...Captain Edible could not even beat a guy who was not running....Colin Powell has received 3 electoral votes and Mr Gary Johnson got none. A big zero.

What is better is he is as republican who endorsed Clinton.

Powell endorsed Clinton on October 25, 2016, stating it was "because I think she's qualified, and the other gentleman is not qualified Despite not running running in the election, Powell received three electoral votes for president from faithless electors in Washington who had pledged to vote for Clinton, coming in third overall. After Barack Obama, Powell was only the second African American to receive electoral votes in a presidential election.

The best is that he is the second African American to get an electoral vote. Why is there no reporting on that? Here you have a "black man" (no white mom) who is not even running for office who can pull more votes than a mainstream candidate.

Congrats Mr Powell...

What did he do that deserves congratulating? Coming in 3rd is pretty meaningless.

ETA...Do you have a link?

It is sarcasm....A little levity based on the current election.

Maybe it's not GJ who's in a sad state, but the American voter.

Just sayin'.

You forgot to mention it had nothing to do with voting and it was electors decision.

GJ got 3.2% of the vote and vastly helped the LP.

It is VERY hard to win as a third party in the US. Democrat and Republican are established platforms. Libertarianism is new to the American voter as a whole.
LP is horrible at branding and PR. We are not moderate conservatives. We are not somewhat fiscally responsible progressives.
Do election polls count younger voters as likely voters?
Do election polls sample third parties the same way as Republicans and Democrats?
The media pretty much ignored us except for reporting gaffes and conducting couple of interviews
No free publicity on TV(CNN and Foxnews).
Did not get into the debates. After that it was pretty much over.
Only raised $11m vs $1.4b Hillary raised and $932m Trump raised.

www.washingtonpost.com...

He did pretty well.
