With wins in South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia, President-elect Donald Trump has won 44 of the 270 votes he needs to formally win the presidency. Hillary Clinton meanwhile has won Vermont's three votes
So Trump is 44-3 up so far...
The electors that have been causing issues and taking it to court are from Colorado, Washington State and California. Those are states Clinton won so their attempt to vote for someone else hurts Clinton and doesnt affect Trump.
I read in various places that these Clinton faithless electors were trying to make a deal with Trump electors.
The deal was if they would vote for a Republican other than Trump, so would the Trump electors.
The goal was so that Trump would not get 270 and it would go to Congress.
I guess we will know soon how well that plan worked.
ETA: I think the end game goal was hoping Congress would choose Clinton re. the popular vote.
Thats not a deal! They should offer what Madonna offered! (until she welched on her offer! Since then, I have lost ALL respect for her)

Yes - and Democrats said as much... or are you suggesting they wasted all that money on tv ads just because?
They? Wasn't it one Dem activist that started a petition that went viral online?
That's not the same as a deep-rooted conspiracy that it was made out to be.
They spent millions on TV commercials all week.
And Nancy Pelosi's Daughter didn't help much.
They still won't come to terms after this, that nobody likes them.

They will already be working on phase 4 to try and change the result.

The left is trying to claim the threats to electors were made by the right, threatening the electors with death, to keep the vote for Trump.
The left needs to quit politics and go into science fiction writing.
I briefly switched to CNN and that's what they're reporting. LOL. Such fake news reporting.

Looks like more defectors from Hillary than Trump.
Total failure.
And to think you guys already had the conspiracy concocted and were ready to call for civil war if Trump didn't get the votes.
The words of civil wars were coming from the mouths of liberals, not anybody else...
Calls for civil war are coming from the Right as well. Look on some of the ATS threads.

That's funny... I had no idea Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Rachel Maddow, etc etc were right wingers...

Well watching the Texas proceedings is about as interesting as watching grass grow, so i'm just gonna check in here every 5 minutes or so.
In some states, if the electors don't vote for the candidate chosen by their party, they can face a fine. But here in Texas, the electors are not bound to vote for their party's choice -- in this case Donald Trump.
