Seeking ATS Members Thoughts -- If a UFO Arrives - But Does Not Communicate.

Can someone link a clip of the mothership for a visual?

CNN would show the craft, 24/7, in one corner of their broadcast screen.

They would convene a series of pundit-panels, to endlessly postulate and pontificate about why the appearance of the craft is Donald Trump's fault...and as a direct result of the election, by the dastardly deplorables, of a sexist, racist, xenophobic (etc., etc.) demagogue.

The Democrats will insist that the only way to get rid of the craft is to invalidate the election and install Hillary Clinton as the leader that the aliens all want to be taken to.

The Republicans will argue that the craft has arrived to send a strong message to the Democrats that they should not try to depose Trump...and that it is standing by to defend the Donald in the event of an attempted coup.

The Aliens will be scratching their heads (assuming they have heads), trying to figure out what is wrong with their GPS...because the area beneath them doesn't look at all like the pictures of the Grand Canyon that were on the travel brochures. The wife alien (assuming aliens have wives) will be yelling at the husband alien, telling him to ask somebody on the ground for directions.

He will refuse, and eventually will decide to go with his gut (assuming he has a gut) and dart off in a southerly direction at Mach 14...leaving CNN to wonder out loud what Donald Trump could have tweeted to the aliens to make them want to abandon mankind so suddenly.

What you have proposed as a thought experiment--saw the movie The Arrival did ya?--has already happened in an expanded form in the US from the start of the appearance of UFOs...and continues as far as the public knows. Of course, the true inner workings of government and science would almost certainly reveal another aspect of the drama.

The UFOs, flying saucers, appeared in appreciable numbers in 1947, a couple of years after we alerted the galaxy that we had split the atom. The pure shock of their mysterious designs and antics was enough to alert the US Air Force to arm their planes with bullets and special cameras to "capture" the elusive guests--there is proof of this. Undoubtedly, via gun or camera they had some success, but of course, they didn't tell us...why would they?

I'll repeat my old, tired, refrain: Threads on ATS, even by the best of the posters, tend to always look from the human perspective and never from the view of ancient, highly advanced beings that know their subject matter from A-to-Z.

In direct answer to your posed question, the game, the process, of humanity coming to terms with its Third World identity is moving along nicely despite humility being so hard to invoke within the human animal with its constant self-adoration. Psychological processing, unlike the progress of pure science is a rocky road that humanity is not willingly wanting to trod.

I'll make this quick, If they do... stay indoors, close your curtains and don't answer your doors. The battle will ensue and as far as I know it will be decisive and more than likely bloody for anyone caught outside or joining the fray.

A friendly warning... just call it a heads up... take it or leave it.

The crafts electromagnetism would take care of most noticing it or remembering it...
Then it would become just another story by a handful of witnesses with fragmented memories...
Much like what transpired in Pheonix and Stephenville...

Under your scenario there would be wide-spread panic.

Contact would be tried.

Attempts at entering the craft would also be tried.

After that? It would depend on the response (if any) from the craft.

The "Alien" craft wouldn't have to do anything to throw the entire world balance into chaos, but_sit_there.

Imagine a billion people from around the world trying to get to manhattan to get a look, a pic, a selfie...

image a hundred thousand gun owners taking pot shots...

A hundred light plane owners flying too close...

the worlds religions, the worlds political power structures, the worlds militaries going freaking bananas.

Shooting it down would risk retaliation...and destruction of a large swath of the city should it crash and explode.

For NYC...I assume a full scale evacuation would take place...followed by heavy rent, taxes and regulations being imposed on the mother-ship.

I would say the typical military response would be to wait a few days (maximum) and then prepare a boarding party, probably with a few scientists that would fly up and try to gain entrance to the object. Next steps would depend on the reaction to the boarding party I guess.

Knowing the US and the world , the situation would be handed to the UN . The UN would call in their Ambassador to Aliens Mazlan Othman . Hopefully , this wouldnt turn out bad like all other things the UN has been involved with.The aliens would not respond , and the UN would try and impose debilitating sanctions .The Security Council would then declare the aliens a possible sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East. The US Progressive Liberals would start to proclaim that the aliens had used mind control to sway the election. They would begin to try and threaten the aliens with all kinda bad stuff . Obama and Clinton would agree and remain silent in the face of these threats . Of course the aliens wouldnt "give a sh**" as they had just traversed endless light years of space to get here.They would just sit behind their impenetrable shield laughing their a** off at these "ameoba" threatening them.
Then they leave after viewing the greatest interstellar comedy ever in the history of the universe

Im old, low on vit D.. damn thing blocking my sunlight. Id say try to communicate.. if nothing, then get the mil to tow it to White Sands. That way the worlds media could sweat their asses off in sat trucks watching the damned thing.

Some et may be advanced but have developed on a more animalistic natural level as opposed to those who may have been Created naturally also but have been domesticated...
So the more animal like may act more animal like and view things from an animals perception more then domesticated et.

Would this UFO be allowed to hover in that position for days, or months, without the U.S. attempting to make physical contact somehow?

And at that point, what would we do? Float a manned balloon up to it and attempt to find a hatch, or perhaps "knock" and see if an entity answers?

I'm just wondering what the extent of America's patience would be. Remember, this thing is sitting over a very dense population. Also, if you hit the craft with a rocket, you might generate severe retaliation of some sort.

What is likely to play-out with our government, and with mankind in general, if a 500 foot Triangle UFO just sat over Manhattan for a long time?

500 feet? That's small.

The government would first try to communicate with radio waves from daylight to x-rays (and hoping the x-rays don't elicit an unfavorable response) to see if any responses are made. If none are received, drones will be sent to probe defenses or offenses. If there is still no response, a drone with sensors and cameras will be landed on top. All of this will be classified, so as not to scare the general public and the "official" story will be that it is a black project that has computer problems. The city will be evacuated in case of "worsening" computer problems. After evacuation, the top of the UFO will be landed upon by humans who will try to enter it, now assuming it is just a probe.

Now depending upon human entry will the alien responses be reacted to. If no entry is possible, the city will be kept evacuated until the object either leaves or lands. If entry is achieved, the responses will depend upon what the object does.

You may or may not believe it, but we have classified units that are trained for entry into "unspecified areas". If entry is not achieved, all personnel will be removed and nothing but sensors and cameras will be deployed as well as NRO satellites moved into favorable positions. Then there will be a waiting game.

NSA supercomputers will be used to find a way in if possible. The civilian populace will still be told that it is our black project that has internal computer problems and possibly a fire on board took the occupants out.

Assuming the object isn't moving, our star wars system hasn't detected any more arriving, all communications in the area will be encrypted and anything that could compromise our defenses will be shut down and moved. That is because the command structure has to assume it is reading our military responses and is readying for a possible invasion. The thought now is to keep the city evacuated, telling the people that have been moved that if the batteries on board fail, the object will fall on the city. Internally the command structure is hoping the object will get bored and move on, hopefully back to where it came.

To further enhance awareness the naturally Created that have not had their evolution processes altered by say other more advanced Created interacting - encountering them may view actions of the altered evolution Created upon naturally Created as nefarious. If the altered evolved for example practice consumption of the naturally evolving.

In short some naturally Created evolving et may be connected with the animals collective a collective some humans still also connect with today. So they may view they way some humans treat animals as demonic, ironically or virus like to shared ecosystems based on how humans or "others" upkeep or not the planet they inhabit...

Now... Consider the farms and the potential karma of the farmers managing livestock ALSO being farmed? as livestock And such behaviors continuing on up said food and or spirit food chains of those involved.

Kind of makes you want LOVE TO RESONATE within the collectives sending signals of MAYBE THERE'S A BETTER WAY TO CO-EXIST-

Sounds like "The Visitors" by Simak.

Big, black, rectangular boxes arrive, enter the atmosphere, then just sit there.

No radio contact. No landings. Nothing. Just sit. A few people shoot at them, they die. No other retaliation. And they just sit there.

Eventually, they start consuming forests. No communication. The aliens replant the trees they ate. Still no communication.

It's an interesting novel with a funny twist ending you don't see coming. But I could EASILY see communication being impossible. Only in sci-fi movies do all the aliens speak English.
