Thanks hun! You had a scan recently, right? How'd it go?

Not much to update tumors are still shrinking woohoo. Been fighting a bad case of anemia but my team is on top of it, though it means blood work every week, sometimes more than once. It also means blood transfusions.

To all you blood donors out there, you really do save lives. Thank you so much for giving.

You're welcome!

I always give blood, it's just never mine.

A donation is a donation. I don't judge.

Scan on Monday. I'm a little nervous since I had to delay treatment by two weeks last month and now I'm on a slower schedule. Just praying it's still working. I'm sure I'm just having typical scan anxiety.

I didn't realize you updated in here Kali.

I think of you often and always wish you the best. Yeah tests make me nervous too! They were checking the mass on or near my adrenal gland. The Urologist had said it didn't look cancerous , but wanted a better look. I will see him the 19th. Hope he doesn't send me to another specialist. I have my primary care Doctor, a urologist and an oncologist Doc so far.
Then in June I see my primary care. Last year I jumped one number from not being diabetic to being diabetic. I didn't need meds or anything, so that worries me that numbers might have jumped higher. Also, I have had high cholesterol for years and can't take any cholesterol meds. I'm old and falling apart. I'd like to trade my body in for a newer model.

You must have been so tired all the time needing blood like that. There was a time when my Mom went through needing transfusions.

Anyway, I am still here and cheering you on. I'm glad the tumors are still shrinking!
Big hug!

And...I am also just a private message away if you want to talk.

Mom was diagnosed 10 years ago, declared "cured" 2 years later. But the event traumatized her, and it took her a few years to get over the fear of her cancer returning.

Before the PET scans and the follow up appointments she wouldn't sleep.

It doesn't help, im sure, but the best i can offer is to let the waves wash you ashore where they may. Worrying won't change the end result, and will only reduce your quality of life while you worry.

Well...

The treatment isn't working anymore so we're on to plan C. There's one trial for a targeted chemo that I can definitely do but doc really wants me in a promising trial for an immunotherapy drug but insurance may be a factor. Barring those two trials or if they don't work, I can do standard chemo again.

Something is going to work so no sorry's.
