will you also laugh when, as a result of such irresponsible and downright moronic action from the democrats, Hillary wins, and you'll get a civil war before christmas? because that's what will happen if they'll swing the electoral vote.

c'mon, you're not that stupid.

You're not that stupid, either. This ad isn't going to change electors' minds any. Their minds have been made up for a while now.

and who said back room deals weren't made and this isn't just a show for the public to justify what happened when the SHTF.

BUT...the "electors" in each state are 'hard core" party partisans. While they might be swayed to jump ship to another candidate, they will NEVER jump ship to the "other" party.

This is just silliness. It truly is, and Monday we will see just this.

Side note...I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see blue electors wind up voting red though, I really wouldn't. The dems have shamed anything more intelligent than the common tree slug into submission.

Wow...just amazing...the DESPERATION!

it may get messy when reds won't vote coherently though. even if they'll agree to vote for a certain person instead of Trump, it may end up being a scenario where a single elector will be able to screw it all up.

Yes, the edgy alt-right thing that likes 'Liberal tears'. They also say they 'drink them'. Bravo for you!

Actually it's based on the popular "progressive" left, "white tears".

I didn't see the ad, but the intent of it was to encourage voters to change there ballot. Like you, I don't think it will make a difference, but we are on a slippery slope when we run ads that encourage possible criminal activity. I seriously doubt they care whether bound or unbound electors switch. They would be a happy to have both.

This is a last ditch effort to overthrow an election. When Hillary conceded her party should have accepted it. It really wasn't fair for either party to have to endure these desperate attempts to change the outcome.

Kind Regards

Despite my party's stance, which favors less regulations as a party platform (not none, just less overall) I personally think we absolutely do need content regulations for maintaining fairness in political advertising, and they need to be restricted only to clarifying stances & issues only, not this garbage or personal mudslinging. For starters, these are electors, not voters, they're not swayed nearly as easily (though I'm sure some could be bought off with the right sweetened deal) They know this game, they don't bite the bait like everyday folks.

Just 10 years ago 95% of Americans didn't even know who the electoral college were, or how it worked!!

They didn't even know how they were selected, how they voted or where they came from.

Seriously, 95% of America.

Yes, it's sad, but it's true.

Now, we're running commercials on prime time TV to influence them!

What does that tell you?????

These people are encouraging the electors to vote against the will of the people whom they represent.

Point of order, those Electors don't represent the will of the people. They are technically autonomous. They take the vote from their states into account, and they represent the party that won their state's election.

Voting against the winning candidate is illegal in many states, and to encourage that in the first place is anti-American and disgraceful. Shame on these deplorables.

Nothing in the Constitution says that a State's law can override the COTUS, so those laws could be challenged up to the SCOTUS.

All that considered, they will vote for Trump.

Exactly, it's pretty much what I'd be suspicious of before blaming a PAC for swayed electors. These are political professionals we're talking about, they know their field inside & out. To get one to break their state law willingly would take something worthwhile, not an AD.

It's SAD to me, to think that there are those who would rather see the destruction of this entire nation before they would like to see the loss of their candidate.

Here's a thought....

Hillary landed under "sniper fire" in Bosnia, right? (hang on, before you go crazy)....

Well, we all know this wasn't true, but there's more....

Something ELSE happened there!!!

One of the greatest SECRET programs ever created by the US Government was also lost there. It wasn't Hillary's fault, but it happened. The F-117 Stealth technology was lost to the Russians. OOOOOHHHhhhhhh, maybe y'all forgot that one.

After that day, the F-117 was no longer a viable technology against the Russians (which is what it was designed for, for the 20 years before that day). Yeah, sure, we got a few more missions out of it in Iraq, but they had nothing.

So, while Hillary landed under "sniper fire" which is laughable now...in the same moment, we lost BILLIONS of dollars of top secret technology to the Russians from a simple ground launched hand-held missle. No, it wasn't Hillary, and it wasn't "sniper fire", but it was BILL.

Thanks, Bill!!

So...how does that "sniper fire" sound now?????????????????

I see this from two ways.

Democrats trying to sneak Trump out and Republicans backing and defending Russians. Both notions are terrible and
virtually mark the end of America in my eyes. You can't just toss Donald out because he is a madman and you can't
just sit on your ass and let Russia believe they can come in and facilitate our political process.

I think Trump should be installed and Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell should be replaced by other Republicans and charged with treason for colluding with a foreign power.

Otherwise we are just finished as a nation. What is the point of it?

What it tells me is that the CIA have already been around to the college, and have had a word with them, so that with the television adds they will feel like hero's when they have done the right thing. Absolutely shocking.

that AD is a psyop.

when you want to deliver a message that's as serious as this, you need people that are both known and respected - scholars, scientists, people with standards.

when you're using actors, it's pretty damn obvious the plan is to play on emotions of everyone watching it.

Well, if we want to point a finger a Russia we need to be aware that this is SOP for the CIA.

i would rather say that ad aims to prevent a civil war by attempting to brainwash people into believing they've made a wrong choice, no matter how naive that attempt is.

because if they'll really sway the electoral vote, there's a big chance you'll be learning to speak mandarin in less than a year - China wouldn't let a civil war in the USA go to waste.

That you don't know how advertising campaigns work. Most political campaigns use targeted ads. It's incredibly likely you saw that ad because they knew you were 'opposed' to this or whatever, and were trying to sway your opinion. That's the whole point of a political ad. I honestly can't believe people don't realize these are targeted. They fit real nicely into demographic groups "These commercials go to my supporters, these go to the opposition, these to the undecideds" etc. "Prime TV" doesn't really exist anymore, the whole idea of that is that viewership ratings determinate the price of commercials. With the application of targeting, the price is so cheap, no one actually appreciates the idea of marketing them that way anymore however.

I respectfully disagree. The ad/SNL skit are attempts to derail a Trump presidency. If that were to happen at this point, after the voter recounts and the unsubstantiated accusations that Trump played ball with Russia, etc. I think the SHTF scenario would be likely.

Conservatives are getting tired of this. Remember how Hillary and the MSM about blew a gasket at the idea that Trump might not accept the election results. The shoe is on the other foot now. More likely if the ad/skit were to work it could cause a civil war.

If it takes a Trump loss to prevent socialists from starting a civil war, we will likely have one. People have been stockpiling ammo for along time. Not to shoot fellow Americans, but to defend the USA which is a Constitutional Republic, not a Social Democracy.

Go the States!

Meanwhile, Australia v Pakistan in the cricket seems tame compared to this thread.

One procedural trick deserves another.
My theory is that anything untoward on the 19th should be reversed on the 6th, when Congress formally counts the electoral votes.

I would love to see it and, if this is true as you stated, wow. That's not a commercial with a message to target 538 people...that's a commercial to appeal to- and send a message to millions of people who might want to influence or threaten 538 people.

I want the accounting for every dollar spent on it and every mind behind it. Was it all from Americans?

Probably funded if you can dig deep enough, by our HRC loving (policies, more war more big government) CIA...

2 things come to mind:

1. Commercials can be cheap and anyone can arrange one. When I was in the underground hip hop industry, our affiliates would spend less than $5,000 to get a late night commercial on some channels. I forget how many days they lasted, but it was a relatively simple process.

2. The last time there was a "faithless" Electoral College voter was after the 2004 election. So it's not like this is unprecedented even in modern times.

ETA: In fact, I just found this link which shows there have been more than 150 "faithless" Electoral College voters in total (HERE). Love it or hate it, it's a part of the process.
