Now a Wall Street Journal story claims the Russians tried to hack into the Republican computer systems and FAILED !!

They FAILED because the RNC has better security !!

[imo]
All this from the WSJ seems to be an effort to make people automatically assume the Russians did hack the Democrats !!

Very clever trick.[/imo]

Russians Also Tried to Hack Republican National Committee, and Failed

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that, according to anonymous U.S. officials (who are still driving the entire “election hacking” story with unsubstantiated leaks, on a daily basis), Russian hackers tried to hit the Republican National Committee as well as the Democrats, but were foiled by superior RNC security.

The Journal then quotes another group of anonymous “people close to the investigation” who said the hackers’ failure to penetrate RNC servers “indicated a less aggressive and much less persistent effort by Russian intelligence to hack the Republican group than the Democratic National Committee.” In the end, the hackers were able to harvest only a single email from a “long-departed RNC staffer.”

This analysis doesn’t sit well with recent revelations that Clinton campaign chief, and alleged cybersecurity expert, John Podesta was tricked with an incredibly simple phishing scam – a single email that told him to click on a bogus button to change the password on his email account. That didn’t really take a huge amount of effort.

Disinfo or misinfo, it doesn't matter. The people that should be in charge of top secret information are the ones that don't get hacked, plain and simple.

I guess they didn't have any unprotected basement servers.

This is what happens when you don't have a unsecured server sitting in your basement and leave your devices in Moscow hotel rooms.

Maybe the RNC staffers were not dumb enough to click on a phishing link.

Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaa

This makes the Democrats look even worse! They all clicked the shiney porno banners in their email box, hhahahahaha! Podesta did for sure! His galsses were steamed up for days afterwards, the only thing that guy's missing at the moment is a little bowtie that spins and makes a whirling noise!

This is brilliant. It's obviously true now then CNN, MSNBC.

Hackers don't fail, they just take longer. If a hacker wants to get you they will.

No im sure republicans dont just hire random kids of the people who make donations to their party.

i would expect republican to be more secure as they are buddy buddy with the defense industry. However the article in question requires little to no evidence as it is based off the assumptions of russians hacking the dnc and democrats in general. which there is no actual evidence of.

We know that the hacker who hacked hillary's server was Romanian not russian. That he was actively monitored by russians because he was a hacker and they wanted to protect themselves from his activities "think nsa" and that he used russian servers while hacking also that the Romanian government handed over the hacker to the usa.

As some of the hacks came from wikileaks we know it was an insider with the dnc.

Probably did, and kept getting the message 'you need at least one capital letter' so put the P back

It boggles the mind how much they are pushing the "It was the Russian's" angle.

Nobody is refuting or disputing the contents of the emails, only just trying to divert attention away from them with they typical boogeyman scenario.

The real reason Wikileaks has no info on the RNC is because the info was leaked from within the US.

It's more plausible that the leak came from Seth Rich than it did from Russia.

here is Ben Swann doing what he does best and that is reality check regarding the hacking

Heres probably the real deal.

RNC had a cheap firewall

DNC had none.
