A CNN political celebrity was flagged by the TSA at a New York airport.

She was then patted down while being filmed at her request.

Is this real or was it planned by CNN in advance ?

WATCH: Humiliating TSA body search leaves CNN’s Angela Rye in tears

Firebrand CNN political commentator Angela Rye was subjected to a humiliating body search while trying to board a plane to New York City on Wednesday night.

She posted the video to Twitter and alleged that the TSA employee who searched her twice touched her inappropriately.

Rye said she was singled out for a random search and that she had not set off any metal detector alarms. The TSA called a police officer when Rye asked why she was being singled out. Officials told her she could cooperate or be escorted from the airport by police.

This chick is a racist, BLM sjw. She's always looking for attention and always saying outrageous things. This morning she claimed Trump election is illegitimate because of slavery. She's an idiot.

I was wondering about that as well. CNN has been shown several times setting up their own stories even long before the current political landscape so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I don't honestly care enough to look into it but I am a little curious if the lady involved ever took a stand against such practices like when it was the little girl or the elderly woman that made the news rounds in the last few years.

Nobody really talks about it much any more but it's not like the TSA ever stopped being horrible...

I'm on the TSA pre-check program and still got stopped for an extra search the last time I flew.

I asked what was the point of the TSA pre-check then? All I got in return was a confused look and a shrug.

Well, random searches do happen and maybe something she did or said triggered this search. Of course she will only be telling her side of the story which in her mind seems ok. I don't know what happened, we need the other side of the story from the TSA. If she was a regular person, we would not be hearing of this.

Does she think she is better than anyone else who gets this done to them? It appears she is, because as I said, she did get more attention than we would.

While it would not surprise me in the least that she staged this, or least feigned a bit of outrage to get a good story, the TSA is indeed still awful.

TSA pre-check? How does one do this? I am not big on flying but my folks still do on occasion.

Law abiding, innocent Americans are subjected to this kind of humiliating, invasive touch and search daily, and has had to deal with it for years.

I hope everyone that has supported this corrupt, manipulative and controlling system, is put through the humiliating procedure every time they travel. Maybe when enough of them realize just how demeaning and unnecessary it is, they will demand that this BS be stopped.

Anyone that thinks that this BS makes them any safer in their travels, has been duped and has been sold false security at a very high cost.

I agree. The sooner people turn of the #ing TV and stop watching the TV for "news," we can all move forward.

To say that CNN is biased is the equivalent of saying the Kremlin is biased.

No #, Sherlock - do we really need fifteen thousands threads that cite these "sources?"

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to accuse me of supporting censorship lol.

Active duty military, when we reserve our flights for official travel.

To get on pre-check on your own I think it costs like $80

And when the Muslim terrorists get on board another plane, and they will. CNN will bark the loudest that the government failed us, especially with trump in office. Better safe then sorry when religious nut jobs are in our mist!!

I usually just go with it and enjoy the pat -down when I get pulled.

I had no problem with TSA pat downs until we were flying home from my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, last summer, and they decided to pat down my 22 year old step daughter, who happened to be wearing jeans shorts that day. There was no reason to pat her bare thighs. I was pretty ticked off about that. You would be too.

As opposed as I am to the entire idea of these pat downs and their constitutionality, this woman is just crazy and looking for attention any way she can get it.

Shame on CNN for giving her what she want's.

I still think the pat downs are wrong, but if she does not think she should be treated like anyone else, she should not fly commercial and needs to buy a private plane
She see's herself as special I guess, but it seems more along the lines of the short bus variety. CNN royalty should never be touched or treated like us ordinary people.
