Another one for the bucket.

I don't believe Cancer is real, therefore it isn't.

Cancer is a biological phenomenon. So is gender.

'Gender Dysphoria' is a mental delusion.

Starting to think this whole "freedom of speech" thing needs to be rethought. Such ignorance, and blatant dismissal of evidence by people who can't even grasp, the difference between (biological) sex, and gender. There is a difference.

Yes. One is real. One is imagined.

You obviously didn't read through the tread, so your comment is rather foolish. If you HAD read, you'd know that the little girl can't transition fully until adulthood...

Can you tell me the difference between biological sex, and gender, without looking it up?

Hahaha! Nope. Nice fail there.

Yet another show of ignorance.

Depends on your dictionary and quality of teacher.

For those of us with real education, they are the same thing. You can look at dictionaries from the 90s and ever early 00s that say the same thing.

As for recent dictionaries, hard to say. Some of them are buying into the hype.

Yes. One is real. One is imagined.

I'm sure you can provide scientific evidence backing up your statement. I'd hate to think it was merely rectally sourced.

I don't need to. The burden is on those people who claim they have scientific proof that there is such a thing as a man trapped in a woman's body and vice versa*. In the meantime, Occam's Razor is sufficient to say 'delusion'.

Don't even try to bring up brain scans. In addition to being faulty, they have not been applied in a manner that can be replicated.

You need to get scans on:

1) So-called transgenders *before* and after they have undergone any hormone or psychological therapy.
2) Non-dysphoria people who *have* undergone identical hormone or psychological therapy, also before and after.
3) A statistically sufficient sampling size of both populations [1] and [2]

...before you can make any scientific claim.

All we have is post-therapy for [1] and pre-therapy for [2]

So drop the 'scientific' moniker. That sh#t don't shine, but it sure stinks.

No I mean people with groundings in logic and reason, not feelz and emotion.

So now you're assuming I have any type of "feelz". Ha! Nice logic there.

Sorry, but unless you can provide credentials, I'm gonna go with the professionals, who actually know what they're talking about.

What's the point of this?

For people like me with an outdated education I find trans people weird.
Freija Im sure would agree that most people feel the same.
I also think that Scientologists are weird.
And people that do bonsai plants are weird.

You can't attack people to change their minds, it will work but not how you want it to.

The point of this kid is so that other kids can feel a bit less weird.
It's a noble cause, but a heavy responsibility for someone who probably wet their bed recently.

Is that a Jon Brenet Ramsey reference?

No, I think it's Benet, but I could be wrong.

edit to clarify...

But i'm still not sure what the reference actually is.
If you're starting with the assumption that I would know the grisly details of that sort of a case you would have to consider me a monster. But you could only make that case if you knew those details also.

At what point do you stop being a monster and just become "informed".

There are no credentials for this. That is a major part of the problem. Another is ideological agenda.

It's also a statistical non-issue.

There's a lot of people though.
Those statistical non-issues add up.

There's enough of them that it makes sense to get along.
Even if they were a massive threat to society (which they aren't as evidenced by history) there isn't a solution. They pop up all over the place.

We should have far more fear of people over 7 foot. The numbers could be similar (This is a complete guess).
