When I read this this morning, it wasn't from a reliable source. Now it's from NBC.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was personally involved in efforts to intervene in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, NBC News reported, citing two unnamed "senior U.S. intelligence officials."

Putin involved in hack of U.S. Elections

Some people are saying it's complete BS. Some people are saying this is an Act of War.

What do you think it is?

(Santa better have some good radar, stealth, and air-to-air missiles ready for Christmas. And somebody is getting some coal this year.)

Yes Putin himself hacked it. You actually consider NBC reliable?

IMHO, this is complete bull#. This is clear misinformation from the MSM, and the DNC in a blatant attempt to discredit Trump and Putin. There's no REAL PROOF anyone hacked anything. It's more4 and more starting to look like an inside leak.
Never underestimate the cold hearted power of HRC.

So you went from a questionable source to a source that is, without question, full of crap.....?

That's basically the news equivalent of some role playing. If someone popped up here on Ats saying they were a US Intel officer..no one would believe it. Give us the name of the mole. I'm Not buying it until they do.

Unnamed.. Pfffftttt.

When Obama sent people to conduct campaign efforts to Netanyahu's opponent for the Israel election, was that an act of war?

Why can't they just stop? Hollyweird actors telling electors not to follow the will of the people, MSM putting out sh** from the always dependable "unnamed source" and Liberals having a massive meltdown, grasping at the tiniest straw.
Get. Over. It.
It's sickening to watch supposedly grown people whine and cry like this.

Hillary was supposed to go to war with Russia.
Since they nixed that plan (Hillary), they now need a new reason so Trump can go to war with Russia.
I'm sure he will, and it will be just like a WWF match, with Trump vs Putin.

If it is true, it's casus belli.

But...

Given the reactions of some of these "sources" over the election of Trump? Let's just say I've my doubts.

What happens if their efforts are in vain, and later come to light? Way, way too much to lose if it goes pear shaped.

Thank you-I now know what cacus belli means. I would really like to know why all this talk about war with Russia. What about China? There's no proof of a Wikileaks correlation that I know of so what gives? China seems much more in position for starting a war-economically anyways. There seems to be disinfo (?) that Putin wanted Trump to win-so?

Hmmm, interesting question and I hope it's not. As far as the CIA goes, none of us trust them. The US has long been under propaganda and cyber attacks from not only Russia but just about every nation with the means, both friend and foe. And the US is guilty of the very same thing to friends and foe alike.

What the USA did in Iraq, Libya and now Syria is an act of war. The USA is the most dangerous Rogue Terrorist Nation to have ever existed and all this nonesense that you are always the good guys is just total insanity. Your Military Based Companies like Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics to name a few are the real controllers of your foreign policy to perpetually invade so they can profit.

Its neither. Yes Russia intervenes (or at least attempts to) in foreign elections, including ours. But then again, so do American politicians. It has to do with whom a politician thinks will most help them politically. Thus why Obama helped people like Castro and fought against the election of Netanyahu. Trump is more nationally focused and Clinton more world centered. Putin wants a nationalistic America so as we'll stay out of his hair while he messes with other countries around Russia's sphere of influence and attempts to revive the Soviet Union.

I'm thinking these are rogue hackers operating from Russian soil without the approval of mr Putin but he is unable to flush them out without causing considerable collateral damage amongst the population. It would mean many innocent Russians who fit the profile would get in trouble and mr Putin doesn't want to do anything yet.

Meanwhile the US wants Russia to take action against the hackers and media picks this up and now we're on a road to WW3 although that started months ago. I'm just watching this from Europe and don't want to be caught in the middle. I don't have any inside information even though I work in IT and am on the side of defence against hackers so I have to know about them and how they work and this is my best guess.

If the US and Russia would just form a team of specialists they could try and track those hackers down, it's not that difficult unless neither side wants to. You have to get into what is real and what is not, is that CA comprimised, what exactly did the hackers use, are we comprimised, it's a mess or it would get extremely messy, like no global internet, total shutdown etc. until the hackers have been found since this is about democracy and nobody wants to go back to pen and paper.
