An investigative Journalist named Amber Lyon is in a video and seems to expose some alarming things about fake news and pay to play by governments !!

Another journalist from Germany says similar things are going on.

Amber seems to be fairly credible.

Stuff like favorable stories and specific censoring.

True or False?

CNN Reporter Exposes Depths of FAKE NEWS and Pay to Publish by Foreign Govts

According to Amber Lyon, a three-time Emmy award winning journalist, CNN is routinely paid by the US government and foreign governments to selectively report on certain events and make up fake news stories.

Furthermore, the Obama administration pay CNN for editorial control over some of their content.

These news outlets are criminal. This type of propaganda needs to be outlawed.

Good thing we have CNN to gatekeep out all the ugly stuff of the world, our nation, and make sure only homogenized content makes its way into our programmed psychosis.

Can't wait to hear the Official Version / Obama lovers come in to stick up for poor old CNN.

The problem with freedom is that it seems to exist without responsibility.

You should have freedom of speech and freedom of the press ....

but that speech and the press must also be the truth.

Otherwise you are miss-informing We The People

and that should be a crime against the very fabric of democracy.

People are starting to wake up. They are more aware of biased and fraud journalism and are not buying it anymore. The media though is being obtuse about it, still doing it. Scoffing at people figuring it out. It won't last much longer.

The 1st amendment and freedom of the press doesnt cover truth versus lie. The Founding Fathers left that for an intelligent populace to discern . One group has failed that expectation near completely

And here we have the reason for the sudden issues with "fake news" the Gov is pissed that their propaganda and fake news machine is collapsing, people watching it (for the most part) see through it and those on the inside are starting to expose it.

With everything going on in the US right now I cant help but feel optimistic about the world for the 1st time in years

If I'm not mistaken, didn't the NDAA they passed in 2012 give authorization to our government to use propaganda or so called 'fake news?'

Would love to hear CNN's response to this. Of course, that would happen only if the story goes viral. Seems to be a leading story on ATS. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The Smith–Mundt Act was updated in 2012, if that's what you are talking about.

It allowed our already existing propaganda machine (used on foreign countries) to be used inside the United States.

Nothing to see there. It is only being used to help newer Americans become better Americans

The government would never abuse something like that.

But we knew this. As a matter of fact, ATS regulars for the past 3-4 years already knew this. ATS was buzzing like a beehive when Uncle Sam made propaganda legal.

And CNN is ground zero for propaganda. It's one thing to have be agenda based but like the Washington Post, CNN doesn't do journalism, they do their jobs and their job is to report what they are told.

But most of the news publications in this country are like that. Only FOX is willing to go with a dissenting opinion and even then, they are merely controlled opposition.

No truly objective voices in the mainstream press anymore. If you do, you get fired or worse, gang stalked until you snap, like the reporter that uncovered members of the government where now drug king pens.

Thank you, introvert, for that informative link to this old story of sour grapes. Looks like someone is trying to drag up old crap for their own purpose.

When the Trumpers jump up and down about their messiah tweeting fake news, then I will take them and Trump's approach to government seriously. Policy by tweet in the wee hours without getting the appropriate briefing and by "fingering" folks who disagree with him is frightening. And, that has NOTHING to do with politics. It has to do with good sense.
