I have always said the same line and its this.

If you stopped watching the news today, in 10 years from now would your life be any different? The answer is always no. (apart from the fact that if you do watch news, you may start to suffer anxieties mentally.) So those that watch it to say they keep informed, are misinformed. Those that do not watch the news are living.

Why worry about those things in which you cannot control. Time is precious.
