The left, i.e. the people's left, rather than the politicians left, WERE worried about it, and still are.

You do not have to believe it or perceive as much, for it to be the case. It simply is. Its not a point to be debated, merely a fact to be wound into ones understanding of the true playing field. However, the media are not going to report on the very real concerns of genuine, grass roots progressive, liberal, and otherwise left leaning people, because there is no benefit to their owners in doing so. It does not highlight the divide in society to do so, only reminds people that they are more similar than they are different, which is the opposite of the intention of most political aims at the high level.

Divided, populations are more easily controlled. United, they are too powerful to be denied, and for that reason the concerns of the people's left, about propaganda from government finding its way into their lives will be ignored by both government, and the media, allowing the right wing echo chamber to complain bitterly about the lack of response from their counterparts on the left, despite there being MUCH concern about that point.

No, we were were worried before. One person should not control this.

I don't recall this being a discussion point in any of the pre-election conversations?

side note to the world: how in the world do you elect someone affiliated with one of the two parties, and then claim to have elected an "outsider"?
