I mentioned something to that
effect to Northeast Utilities.

It made too much sense.
So their shareholders would not allow it.
As they are focused on short term gain.

It is more about having a physical backup system
replacement than cyber protection in the concept
clause I am pertaining to.

The transformers cost millions,
take 1-2 years to build,
and if I am not mistaken, were only
produced in Germany and South Korea
at the time.
This is Solar/EMP backup plans.
for physical units.

We are on at the end of the rainbow here, if there were some major tranformer issues from a solar flare even in the northern US around this area, we would be without power for months. We are not a priority here. Without the transformers, a power company can not give us power. Even an event that blows out say five hundred transformers would put us last to get one.
