Are we witnessing the final push towards internet censorship and the restriction of free speech?

Another alternative to the established social media outlets that people might find useful is Minds, an encrypted social network. It gained media attention last year when it was introduced with the support of Anonymous. Their stance is that "users deserve the control of social media in every sense."

A snippet from the article:

A new social network, backed by the Anonymous group, aims to take on major sites like Twitter and Facebook with a commitment to privacy and transparency.

...[Minds] has the same basic set-up as other social networks. Users post updates to followers, who can comment or share content.

But unlike its competitors it claims there's no aim to make money from gathering data and all messages are encrypted, so they can't be read by advertisers or by governments.

Users "earn points" for voting, sharing and uploading which they can then use to "boost" their posts to a bigger audience.
It claims that this element "levels the playing field so that literally anyone has a shot at being heard in the overwhelming noise of the web".

Another example of censorship being revealed or just some "unfortunate error" on the server or from an employee? The New York Times has apparently scrubbed its article on Norway's pedophile ring bust (dating from 20 November, 2016). Luckily though the page has been archived, so you can fact check it for yourself. Somehow web archive links don't work here on ATS, so I just copy pasted it below. Add them together in your searchbar and go.
web.archive.org...
mobile.nytimes.com...

PS: this is not in any way an attempt to bring p-gate into the discussion, so please let's not go down that road, thanks.

ABC News and the Washington Post apparently removed this news article as well.

web.archive.org...
ABC

web.archive.org...
WaPo

Same trick as before, just add the two links together to access the archived post.

The WaPo article even seems to be scrubbed from Web Archive, but atm is still visible in Google search..

Still all an inconvenient "coincidence" or..? Your thoughts?

Plan A to silence someone is to whack them. Now their are to many people to whack. Plan B is to control the narrative by censorship. This happened to late so now we are looking at plan C. This blame the Russians how far they are willing to take this will be interesting. The offending culprit seems to an organisation beginning with C.x.x. Looks like they need looking at.

Good for them.
Keep the neo-nazi alt-right fake news off of the internet. Do everything possible to keep these people from spreading their lies. I hope Alex Jones is next.

I still want to see proof that it was Russia's Government and not a person or group IN RUSSIA. Big Difference...

And also, why the DNC isn't being sued for not having better security protocols in place.

If it was the Russians, and they just pulled e mails from servers, then went through them and decided we will leak this one to get this or that result. Then They have got the lot. If as in Britain they can now check what your doing on your computer, their is only one way this can be done, and that's by accessing codes already built into the operating system. So you can bet that the Russians know everything that gets posted on the internet, just like the CIA.

What I know is that knowledge is power. What you offered us here is knowledge on how the elite plans to remove some liberty from us. Exposing the truth is an important task we all should do as related with their plans for the NWO. Although I do not worry about the NWO because it has to take place anyway. There has to be the Antichrist and the beast and the false prophets as is mentioned in the bible.
