Do we have a "block" feature?

Solution to what?

It's this kind of thinking that gives rise to and legitimizes safe space pansies.

Oh I don't doubt that but I often wonder if this place isn't...um..dying under its own weight.

SO many have said that in the nearly 9 years I've been a member.

ATS is still here.

This is still the best place on the net to discuss conspiracy theories and to find the truth behind them.

I personally don't subscribe to CT and tend to disagree with people more than I agree with them when it comes to such topics. But I'm not here to only be exposed to things I agree with.

I believe ATS once had an ignore feature..That was a long time ago.

I could be mistaken about that.

Hmmm... it doesn't ring a bell. I've been a member since '03 (dis my 2nd account).

I'm not positive about that though. So now i'm very curious if we ever had that feature.

It did exist- it may have been one of the things that disappeared in autumn 2010.
Here is one of the threads discussing it;
Why does ATS have the Ignore feature?

I remember the ignore feature. I just never used it.

It wasn't around very long. I could be wrong though.

Was it global, or used within threads?

I think certain members should have a flashy-thing trigger warning avatar, that'll do it I reckon.

To be fair I dont think the OP wants to block opposing views.

I would not do that either.

The problem is one or two members who are well......just kind of dumb. Honestly low intelligent morons who seem incapable of reading comprehension and any sort of open debate. Reading their posts is just a waste of brainpower even if I agree with their points. They just parrot lines or resort to reducing EVRYTHING to a binary partisan state.

Nope, no ignore/block feature. Like some others, I remember that ATS used to have it, but no longer.

I would love to have it back, actually. Personally, I'd like to ignore the members that I know exactly what will be posted, almost word for word.

I essentially ignore them as is, but it'd be nice to streamline and shorten threads as a form of site customization.

The way it stands, I am thankful many don't change avatars. I think that just scrolling by certain members will be as good as it gets. After you do it for a while, it becomes a habit of sorts anyway.

I'd also love the ability to remove specific forums from the Recent feed. I miss being able to do that..
