I am personally willing to contribute in a value for value business model for ATS where certain subjects are no longer taboo but still maintain the same rules for decorum.

I'm just putting that out there.

I am also willing to bet that others would be willing to contribute as well.

I will pay to not see ads. Seriously. Charge me a hundred bucks and stop with the autoplay videos that pop OVER threads, and the autoplay videos that pop up in between posts when not logged in, and all the other BS ads. I'm not clicking on any ads, ever, so ATS profits are $0.00 from me seeing ads. I'm sure I'm not the only member who would like to pay and not see ads.

Ads work on a per-view, not per-click basis. If you're seeing them, they're making money.

Edit: I've never had issues with intrusive video ads on ATS.

In the value for value model not everyone pays people willingly donate to keep the business profitable in order to continue to have the service or whatever it is.

Lot of podcasters do very well with it like the No Agenda guys, guess they kinda pioneered not sure but i think they did.

I've donated a few times to ATS, what i meant was the currency difference US/AUS $

Good idea, I would be on board with this.

I occasionally get an ad, though I have whitelisted ATS in APB. I think you still will get an occasional one, especially if you have logged out. I have no problem with giving the site 'views' for the few times I see them. The big car ad is the biggest one lately, but takes up maybe 4 seconds of my time. I see more the rare times I view on my phone, but no biggie.

If you see CONSTANT ads, you are not logged in or you have not whitelisted. Also, some mobile phone companies will show you ads and ATS has little control. I have made a few threads about this. The ads differ in type and amount between devices and ISPs and areas of the country.

It's views, mainly, not clicks. Why would you expect to not see ads when not logged in?

I would be smart and save my money for things that matter.
