Ah yes The Young Turks, Imagine if a group called themselves the young nazis, then went around condemning everyone that didn't have the same ideological views all the while denying the genocide that occurred.

Anyhooz my girl Ana has a friggen fit.

Too bad Cenk wasn't there.

Cenk apologized to his denying the genocide. When he made them he was young and thought he knew everything and has since seen the error of his ways. Takes a big person to admit when they're wrong.

Can't watch videos, but I've always wondered why so many do not consider it a genocide.

The YT's are extreme liberals. Can't really stand them.
I lean left socially but I have my limits.

Might've handled it better than Ana.

I'm not sure what you mean. What you mean?

Btw, we all know Ana is Armenian, right?

I guess I watch them for entertainment like AJ.

Just the other-side, their usual "F White People" commentary is enjoyable.

Why deny it to begin with?

Apologize because it gets in way of monetary gains.

Yes, she made sure to tell us in the video.

That you probably didn't watch.

The DMX remix was awesome!

Anywho, how could we expect less from those pesky Young Turks.

They are from a ideology which is crumbling under the weight of it own hypocrisy.

Ownership is a commendable trait but stubbornness is not.

Until the name is changed they have no credibility in the realm of morals.

I tried but the YouTubers commentary really turned me off so I didn't want to spend the next 8 minutes listening to him. Sometimes less is more and he should really stop talking. But now I have to watch it to see what you mean!

Ugh that video is so bad but what do you mean by Ana? Because she said something in Armenian, who the YouTube called Wookie language during his commentary?

Nah, I had figured at least Cenk would've let the guy finish what he was saying and then attempt rebuttal/engage instead just having final word.

Well, I have no idea why they call themselves the Young Turks but I seriously doubt they endorse, encourage, and stroke the idea of genocide. But if he did change the name of the show would that matter to you or would you find another obstacle for him to hurdle before you can accept his apology?

I could only stomach the first half of that video so I only saw them on stage at a college, but Cenk wasn't on stage. Are you talking about another incident in the video?

No not at all.

In the OP I said Cenk wasnt there.

I just felt he might've been better one to address it to and to have explained any of it.

They call themselves The Young Turks because, drum roll please, they are.....The Young Turks.

Or some sort of modern day version, Beta version maybe? This is evident in their beliefs, as they share three of the four main tenants of 'Turkish liberalism'. In fact I would go as far as saying TYT's political views are far more extreme and dangerous than that of the 100 years old group of the same name.

And you are completely right sir/madam, changing the name will never be enough.

The only way for them to gain any admiration from me would be an entire paradigm shift back to the centre with the rest of us.

Doubt that will happen though.

Okay, yeah I guess it would have been better if he were there but he wasn't so.. yeah.

In any case, you read his apology here.

tytnetwork.com...

Today, I rescind the statements I made in my Daily Pennsylvanian article from 1991 entitled, “Historical Fact of Falsehood? When I wrote that piece, I was a 21 year-old kid, who had a lot of opinions that I have since changed. Back then I had many political positions that were not well researched. For example, back in those days I held a pro-war rally for the Persian Gulf War. Anyone who knows me now knows that I am a very different person today.

I also rescind the statements I made in a letter to the editor I wrote in 1999 on the same issue. Back then I had a very different perspective and there were many things that I did not give due weight. On this issue, I should have been far, far more respectful of so many people who had lost family members. Their pain is heart-wrenching and should be acknowledged by all.

My mistake at the time was confusing myself for a scholar of history, which I most certainly am not. I don’t want to make the same mistake again, so I am going to refrain from commenting on the topic of the Armenian Genocide, which I do not know nearly enough about.

Thank you for being patient with me on this issue, though I might not have always merited it.

Tbh, I have no idea what the original Young Turks stood for but what extreme views does the YouTube channel have exactly that is so nefarious?
