Don't you mean Wally?

This Mandela effect is getting out of hand...

My guess.

It's a lighter and unfortunately you won't be getting it back unless you keep checking the local lost and founds.

I close?

Friend of BigBurgh replying:
So I first saw my dad's cat eye ring (by far his most favored possession) so I'm leaning toward a jewelery or adornment item coming through your father's side. I would ask if perhaps you have had carpet removed recently (maybe installed but think removed)? Also, I see what seems to be a chair leg or other carved ball foot item...cherry finish, maybe mahogany finish. It does not sem to be bedroom or dining room. Possibly kitchen more likely family or living room. Still saying something about carpeting. Will think on it more.
The wedding band that was lost awhile back was found under the washing machine/dryer...seems to have been spouse, ex-spouse, or one heck of a fight about losing it. There separation between you & the person who lost that one.

I purposely chose not to read the replies to your thread, it only distracts.

I see something round, possibly a watch or time piece.

It's likely in a car.

There may be something else here, a chain/jewlery you forgot you lost?

Peace Out.

My first impression, solidified after I read a couple of responses, is of a pendant, scroll work on the edges. Bronze/patinaed brass in coloration. A yellowish stone, and perhaps a fleur de lis?

Maybe a dangly bit off the bottom of the pendant.

I keep coming back to, "in a box," for location with the implication of it being a wooden cigar box or similar?

A Mason's lapel-pin. An heirloom piece (like my grandpa's jade and ivory artifacts). And it's in the bed of someone else.

Or whatever.

Interesting experiment.

I'm more interested in the excuses after you find it than the actual finding but I guess I should play along.

There is no missing object and this is all an elaborate hoax intended to reveal any fakers on the net.

I will guess a Zippo lighter, silver, engraved. In the cushions of your chair or couch.

Object is mainly black in color with a silver diamond shape incorporated into it.

It is outdoors in grass.

I'll take a guess. It's a lighter, I see it under some furniture

Has an American eagle on it.

UPDATE: OBJECT FOUND

So for those interested the object was a black, hand hammered finish, men's ring.
Very similar to this www.etsy.com... urce=google&utm_custom1=0&utm_content=5885619&gclid=CPi2gtv-0dACFUuUfgodLp0Aug

It was found by my wife before I even got home, it was in our living room, in the carpet, in front of our dog bed. When I took my jacket and gloves off after work yesterday I noticed it was missing. Both of us searched the living room and it was right out in the open, so we're not sure if it was somehow moved by the dogs during the day or if we were both suffering from selective blindness yesterday.

Thanks to everyone who took a little time to help me out, il be replying to individual guesses a little later because some of you guessed some interesting info, even if it wasn't relevant.

Seemed like a lot of you liked the challenge, maybe I should loose things more often.
