Its just been realized that Trump can't be President, because the US can't provide security for all the businesses around the world that carry the name "Trump" from terror attacks.

Any buildings with the name of the American President on it would immediately become a target once Trump enters the oval office. Who is going to pay for all that security? Even if Trump hands over the businesses to his children, the name "Trump" and the brand "Trump" remains. A direct link to the President. Anyone angry at the United States would have a multitude of targets around the world to attack to express their rage, whenever they're upset at what President Trump does. A Trump Presidency is a security nightmare for everyone involved.

Not only would Trump have to sell all his assets immediately, he'd have to ensure that those assets remove his brand name "Trump" from the properties.

He can't do that either, because he is contractually obligated to license the "Trump" brand name to all those entities, which is the whole model of his business operations in the first place. To accept the Presidency would be to put all his business partners in danger. It would be to reduce the "prestigious" value of the brand "Trump" to nothing short of "worthless". Who wants to stay in a "Trump" hotel that might be a prime target for terrorists. Would hotel guests be able to sleep at nights?

It seems nobody thought of this before. New York times has just published a story on this,

How fast can Donald Trump "untangle" himself from his 500 businesses in 25 foreign jurisdictions, and erase his name from all assets that could pose terror targets?

Can he do all this by 20th January 2017.

Is he a miracle worker?

Of course he is going to leave his company behind. He is doing exactly what he said he would on several levels.

Yea.. right.. sure he is. : )

Many folks here are as sharp as a tack.. until something comes along that they support, and then they are surprisingly gullible.

In one of his famous late-night TWEETS, President-elect said a couple of hours ago, that he's turning the business over to his sons...

"President-elect Donald Trump said late Monday evening that his two eldest sons, Don Jr. and Eric — along with selected executives — would oversee Trump's businesses during his term of office.

Trump made the announcement in a series of tweets hours after his transition team had postponed a scheduled Thursday press conference at which the president-elect was due to discuss the Trump Organization and his other financial holdings.

Trump's announcement also opens the door for his daughter, Ivanka, to take a position in the new administration, since she would not be involved in running the Trump Organization."

REGARDLESS of what Donald Trump decided, there will be those who've never even owned an ice-cream stand, all huffy, indignant, and wanting him to distance himself from Trump Enterprises even further. Fortunately, most of those aggravators will be from the powerless Democratic minority.
