People are convinced everyday.

Is it really as simple as blaming the people you can't convince?

Yes. Some people who are on the fence about an issue, or may believe in something -- but not really strongly believe in that "something" -- then those people might be more apt to be convinced to believe what you are trying to teach them.

However, among that group of people whom you are trying to convince, there are some who feel very strongly in what they believe that virtually no amount of convincing will make a difference.

So, yes -- people are convinced every day...

...but some people are so set in their ways and what they believe that they cannot be convinced to believe otherwise.

I'm not sure why you think every person would react the same way to someone trying to convince them to believe differently. Human nature doesn't work that way.

some people are unconvincing because they dont want to show the world a better way, they just want to prove they are right. other people are unconvinced because they dont want to know the truth, they want to be comfortable with reality. at some point, being comfortable is going to outweigh being right, and the truth is going to obscure the better way. the mistake many make is in assuming that possessing truth is the same as being equal to the road. this is not so. knowledge is not understanding, understanding is not acceptance, and acceptance is not mastery. if you only want to reach the top of the mountain to prove you are better than the mountain, your own vices will prove a greater hurdle than any the mountain offers.
