Well, a British photographer who is widely known for pictures of underage girls killed himself, a bag over his head.

Paris (AFP) - French investigators probing the death of controversial British photographer David Hamilton believe he committed suicide, just weeks after he was accused of rape, sources close to the inquiry said Saturday.

The 83-year-old, known for his widely published nude images of underage girls, was found dead in his Paris home on Friday with a plastic bag over his head, one source told AFP, adding: "There is nothing at this stage to suggest anything other than suicide."

I could be wrong, but in the US I do believe ANY underage pornagraphy is illegal, no matter what it's labeled as.

Seems simple doesn't it. I wonder if the guy would have been thrown in jail the first time he took pic of kids, how many people alive today could have avoided the damage he did.

Regardless of whether people would consider his work art or pornographic in nature, if the rape allegations are true then it's quite clear David himself viewed it as sexually arousing. That's really disturbing considering the extent of his portfolio.

Probably not many. He may have stopped taking pictures but he would have still been a pedophile.

Or perhaps, a better example would be the 14 year old Brooke Shields in the more widely watched, mainstream, Blue Lagoon?

A rape accusation, I would assume, especially one committed against a minor, is quite the life destroyer. It seems without fail to turn into guilty until proven innocent, particularly for those in the public eye. Employers, friends and colleagues are eager to disassociate themselves in the current climate. I wouldn't be particularly inclined to take his suicide as an admission of guilt.

You are right to raise this question , this issue was discussed on the 'moral maze' radio4 programme last night , it is current.
Can you maybe find and link a research paper? It won't be that easy .

By way of suggestion start with this ; every human being has an in built innate , instinctive and intuitive radar-like system which spots procreation opportunities , every single one does .
By not defining this we open up the possiblities to begin blugeoning ourselves and others just for being natural or behaving like normal humans throughout the ages would .. even though this fact could be considered natural in itself , that hierarchy dictates who gets to procreate , over and above the accepted fact , each one has its own desires , or its system works anyway. In the animal world this is certainly true . Adult male deer for example fight until one only gets all the females , young and old . Meercat females have been shown to literally have to sneak away from one tribe to breed with rogues , on pain of punishment or death . Is this meercat sharia law? Or family life in the West as well?
There are many many questions here
Are we moralising too far to wish control over others ideas of (fair to themselves) breeding habits ? Is this an evolutionary struggle between ourselves? If someone defines the acceptable , then who ?
What does not fit with our natural inannate senses is or used to be immediately repressed , but we are now forced to accept versions of sexuality which do not naturally concur with reproduction . Nature again may trump our factfinding because is it natural to have a diversity of methods for that reproduction ? Answer is probably yes , and probably why there shouldnt be gay adopters too , by example, skipping the more embarassing

As stated a debate can go on forever on this , but existential answers =-and questions, are required . In reality the plus sides then the law is tipped about right in age scenarios , the public moral compass is still reading its north . And , Is 'what is fair fact' down to a persons own conscience , with fantasy and reality put aside ? Was it all down to this man's conscience , in this case ? WHat we know is he would ,, himself have known his truths , and so

The 'art' ends when the mind strays from the natural beauty to

the uncontrolled desire of the observer!!

porn is usually a signed deal for legal age, and pedo is the opposite... just wrong.

That is where it stops.
