One anti-Musk website—”Stop Elon From Failing Again” launched earlier this year with the mission of becoming a “one-stop database on stopping Elon Musk.

At least three sites have run negative pieces about Musk—by a nonexistent writer named “Shepard Stewart”—that include “Elon Musk Continues to Blow Up Taxpayer Money With Falcon 9” and “Elon Musk: Faux Free Marketeer and National Disgrace.” Two later retracted the stories.

Tesla and Space X being attacked by Secretive SuperPACs

These people have taken complete advantage of the fake news issue and utilized it to further their propaganda and manipulate stock markets, investments, and many other things we can't even fathom. They are a 503c non profit organization, which means they do not need to show their donors, even if they are massive fossil fuel companies trying to eliminate competition.

We don't need a bunch of unestablished (especially without scientific background) individuals trying to tell citizens how American entrepreneurs should operate. For all we know, they are shorting the market on this site and making an easy dime off it. And this is just the beginning.

I would watch out for them on ATS as well. They use pen names (many of their authors are not real people) and love to prey on people who love conspiracy theories.

Hmm. If you read the reasons in YOUR links , looks as if Tesla corp is being researched for faulty suspension and other defects
Doesnt sound too much of a right-wing plot to me. Just because Musk seems to be overlooking certain issues and states Boo-Hoo its all the right-wing's fault DOES NOT MAKER IT SO . Just trying to do as any other corp head would do. Cover up

We don't need a bunch of unestablished (especially without scientific background) individuals trying to tell citizens how American entrepreneurs should operate.

Not even for consumer safety....

Prediction:

People here won't care if it's fake news, because they will rationalize the mere potential of wrongdoing as giving them righteous cause for the witch hunt. If nothing is found, no problem! Attention will soon focus on the next victim.

There is nothing fake about what was written? Why do ignorant people love to throw labels around?

Also, as your own article states; it was launched earlier this year. So it has nothing to do with "Hillary being out of the way".

Is this a serious question? Where do you see the word "alt right?" Try "CTRL +F" this thread. It turns out you are the first person to mention it.

Not a right wing? Yet one of the managers is Laura Ingraham, a "right wing pundit" currently applying for Press Secretary for a Republican president - who also happens to conveniently favor fossil fuels over renewables. No conflict of interest there, right?

And why are the top 3 articles random negatives news about Tesla have nothing to do with safety regulations you speak of? You literally just made that up.

1. TESLA MODEL 3 MAY BE DELAYED UNTIL THE END OF 2018
2. TESLA MODEL 3 EXTREME STICKER SHOCK: EXPECT TO PAY $50K FOR THE $35K EV
3. MORGAN STANLEY IS STARTING TO SHOW SOME SERIOUS TESLA SKEPTICISM

I assume you also trust the Center for Business and Responsible Government, the organization that funds the website, yet doesn't even have a website themselves or any public record.

Is she really out of the way? She seems to still have Jill Stein and CNN working for her!

Will she ever be out of the way. CNN reported on her thanksgiving shopping. Like we give a crap. Oh they also said some mean things about Trump. Go figure.

This "fake news" crap is a red herring. Sure there's fake news, on both sides, but what can you do about it? Censorship is against free speech and freedom of the press. Who gets to decide what's fake and what isn't? Is there truly an impartial way to do that?

All this is about is the next election. Election 2020 started for the media as soon as it became apparent Trump won on Nov 8/9. The blatant bias they displayed for Clinton didn't work because people have other ways to get information now. Therefore they need a crack down on what gets said on other media like FB and Twitter so next election the only place we can get info is from them. This isn't complicated folks.

Yes, there is absolutely fake news,

Already grossly subsidized, Musk’s SolarCity has become an albatross of waste, fraud, and abuse of tax payer dollars. As legitimate earnings and cash become even scarcer for SolarCity, its entanglement in the Tesla empire suggests that a drastic reckoning not only is imminent, but in fact emboldening Musk to become more outlandish and reckless.

So I'm guessing they have evidence of this fraud and it's not just a fossil fuel industry sponsored hit piece? I'll be waiting on that evidence any time now.

Gothmog has re-structured the story to fit his own narrative.

1. It is NOT a site dedicated to Tesla's safety standards. It is a site called StopElonFromFailingAgain. Let me spell that out for you.

Elon, Tesla, Space X, Solar City, everything in between.

2. Does that justifies Super PACs without any legitimate operations trying to manipulate stock markets and also running a bid to work in the Trump administration?

Seriously, priorities people.

Teach people how think critically? The Pope endorsed Trump...a million shares, FBI agent investigating Hillary found dead...another million shares. Neither one of those was even remotely true but people didn't care, they just clicked 'like' and 'share' when they read the headline.

Fake news is starting to have legitimate effects on the real world outside of the internet. There's the pizzagate thing and now we've got a smear campaign against Tesla Motors. How long until the first accusations of pedophilia against Elon Musk? I can almost write the headlines right now; 'Tesla Model 3's unsafe says DOT official', 'Elon Musk under investigation for pedo ring by FBI', 'SpaceX wastes billions in taxpayer dollars says NASA insider.'

Boom, 3 headlines right there. No evidence to back them up but I can almost guarantee if posted in the right forums and Facebook groups they'll spread like wildfire. It's a lucrative business, $30,000/mont h.
