ATS and other alt media called "peddlers of Russian propaganda"

A Group of unnamed researchers are getting a bit of coverage in a story about fake
news in the Washington post called "Russian propaganda effort helped spread
‘fake news’during election, experts say" and it has a big list of websites.

And one of them is Above top secret.

PropOrNot’s monitoring report, which was provided to The Washington Post in advance of its public release, identifies more than 200 websites as routine peddlers of Russian propaganda during the election season, with combined audiences of at least 15 million Americans. On Facebook, PropOrNot estimates that stories planted or promoted by the disinformation campaign were viewed more than 213 million times.

This and the endless calling of every site that's not MSM fake news is starting
to worry me that there is going to be a big clamp down on anyone who wont
tow the line and has any opinion different to the official news and may be used
to shut down sites.

It is pretty obvious that many people around here don't care about where info comes from or if it has any fact behind it. If they are actually peddlers of Russian propaganda is another matter. It is entirely possible.

ATS content is people-provided.

If ATS is Russian propaganda, then so is Twitter or Facebook. Or Google, for that matters - after all, Google lets us search for RT articles, right?

And, I think every person can decide for themselves which media outlets are peddling crap. I noticed the EU resolution on this so called 'Russian propaganda', no wonder they're still considering letting Turkey join, we all know how much they love the media.

Screw the EU and Washington, nothing but corrupt rich idiots trying to control people and make as much money as they can at any cost.

I would imagine some of that material has been referenced here, but given the diverse views of the membership, I wouldn't say it's being pushed or is even the most prevalent position.

My prediction is ATS isn't going away much less changing or being hurt by that info.

The Washington post is and has always been a liberal rag, and of no account. So we have Trump? I think WWIII was avoided by not having Hillary elected. I have nothing to go on, but my intuition regarding the latter. I am not at all happy with the present situation. I shall be a hopeful observer, a neutral optimist, and I shall minimize my participation in all the bullsh$t, if you don't mint. Sit back and enjoy the show!
