Let's hope this of all things isn't going to be a Promise he flip flops on. Too many people are counting on his word, and look to him to stand by it.

bother me ?

I dont get it...you made a thread about millions of muslims marching against ISIS...which is hugely disingenuous when we see from the quote that the event was unrelated to ISIS and only several people chose to make it a political statement.

Yes...your thread title is a lie. Other then that...it doesnt bother me.

This article contradicts itself.

First, it says:

...several people took the controversial step of turning their march political in order to denounce terror in all forms.

Several people out of millions? That isn't a large number. Even if the term "several" was stretched out to 100 people, and usually the context of several would be between 3 and 12 or so, that is still a fraction of a percent of one million.

Then they say this:

It is noteworthy to mention the mainstream media blackout of the millions people marched gathering in war torn Iraq, battling the ISIS, as a clear sign of biased reporting.

No. They aren't "battling the ISIS". They are on a yearly pilgrimage.
They aren't fighting anyone.

This article is strange and very misleading.

Not only that...but the OP didnt read or understood the words "several out of millions". Could be a language barrier.

I have a sudden urge to recap this thread...

So millions of muslims were there...and only

several people
were making a political statement about ISIS.

This is somehow supposed to tell us what ? that Islam is a religion of peace and that muslims are against ISIS also ?

So these several people are what...? a peaceful minority ?

What about the rest of the million of them...why werent they also protesting ISIS ? dont they hate them ?

Do you need them to be bad people or something?

Several were attacked by ISIS on their way home from the march.

Given the mainstream media’s constant sensationalized reporting on terror and Muslims in the Western world, the utter lack of coverage of Arbaeen’s march on Sunday and Monday revealed the double standard that exists in reporting on peaceful Muslims.

Monday marked the final day of the mourning for Imam Hussein who was martyred in a battle with the massive army of Yazid after refusing allegiance to the tyrant caliph. Yazid the caliph of Umayyad dynasty was promoting the same type of Islam as ISIS and Wahhabist preach today.

Because people are missing the anti-ISIS connection. While it may be a traditional pilgrimage, its one that embodies the antithesis of ISIS and the Wahhabi movement. Regardless, you have Sunnis and Shia gathering and marching together peacefully; there's something to be said for that alone.
