I found this disheartening.

Many of these Franchises are Reputable places, and i know a few people from these areas

who will probably appreciate knowing this. Have health standards dropped below par?

It sure is looking like it. The next time I go somewhere I'll be thinking of this.

These food establishments were closed because of health code violations. The list, compiled from health department reports, reflects actions taken by the departments.



THE DISTRICT Dollar Tree
1548 Benning Rd. NE

Food service closed Nov. 8 because of insects and rodents. Reopened Nov. 11.

Dunkin’ Donuts

2025 E St. NW

Closed last Thursday for operating without a certified food manager.

Meat in a Box

2005 18th St. NW

Closed Nov. 16 for operating without a license.

Starbucks

901 Massachusetts Ave. NW

Closed Nov. 12 for operating without hot water.

MARYLAND
China Gourmet


3729 University Blvd., Kensington

Closed Friday because of roaches.

Maybe taxes and insurance and wages are too high and they can't keep the places clean.

Probably yeah, the rodent problem is disturbing though.

Taxes & Insurance is an issue i agree. Reminds me of a few

Videos' over the years on youtube of people and why they

do to the food before serving it to their customers.

Makes me think twice about eating out anywhere, all I

will remember are stories like those.
