It seems like "alt-right" is a large umbrella that has Neo-Nazis, skinheads, white supremacists, nationalists, anarcho-capitalists, neo-cons ect mixed together under it.

The hardcore white supremacists consider Milo alt-right, and they consider the alt-right as a Trojan Horse for their agenda. It's watered down enough for the masses, and their hope is that it will slowly legitimatize their views.

The Nazis and supremacists have been starved of positive limelight for 40 years. They've seen Trump as a way back into the national debates. What else would they do? With Bannon straddling mainstream Right and fringe nazis, it's really drawing everyone out.

The Left media wants to exaggerate the association of Nazis with Trump. It fuels the Hitler comparisons and smears are used by ALL sides. The Right have actually helped the association by staying silent about the fellow travelling Nazis and white power Sieg Heilers. They didn't want to give the Left any points and have ended up looking like a silent majority of Right-voters could actually support the Far-Right (which they do not).

Your Spencer guy plays it all off with ease when he's framing Left people as 'soulless' and 'in thrall to demons.' Oldest trick is to dehumanise your targets.

I don't have time to finish this post. All I'm pointing out is the vast majority of people straddle the middle ground and come in all colours of skin. They aren't racists and they aren't enemies of each other.

The race to drive Trump out will include lots of associations and divisive rhetoric in the media outlets. He's a Nazi, he's a tyrant etc. Dehumanise and ridicule. The exact same thing will continue against the Left too.

Will people play along and get played? Nobody should.

This is surreal. Anyone who is actually familiar with the topic will know what I'm talking about. Or perhaps alternative universes are real and I woke up in one. Milo and Paul Watson have called themselves alt right on many occasion. This other guy though, I never even heard of until today. Maybe I'm crazy but regardless this is my last post. I don't know what the hell is happening. Maybe my brain is fried. It's absolutely surreal. If not I can't believe I trusted these guys and Trump. I could not be more angry at these turn coat POS scum.

Is he dead then? I am pretty sure martyrdom requires termination of respiratory and brain function, unless this is just more newspeak of course, in which case, say what you like! It will make no difference to the reality at hand.

Now, as to the subject matter I can say only this.

It is a journalists job to do ONE thing. Report the facts. FACTS! Not musings, not bias, not speculation, implication or vilification, not to lead politicial movements or bring others down, but to report the facts on their own, and leave people who read them to decide what those facts mean for them, how they are going to act in response to the facts. This journalist, this editor has failed to do that.

Do I agree with the existence of far right extremists, anywhere, ever again on this earth? No, I would gladly peel the bastards faces off and nail their fleshless heads to the walls of their homes, for all their neighbours to see as a warning never to permit that filth from entering the public consciousness again. But I am not a journalist. It's not my job to report facts, it's my task to respond to them. Journalists have a specific and narrow task to perform, and they need to do a better job of it, and leave everything else, the spin, the skew, the direction in which the reader is lead, to their own individual internal compass.

Daily Caller is right-leaning as all hell but they're not "fake news." Seems this Politico editor lost his s# and managed to not only Lou Dobbs Spencer but actually advocate for violence against him which may or may not be a crime depending on applicable state laws.

Just to be clear, I don’t consider myself a member of the alt-right.

Here are a few of the things I disagree with them on.

Firstly, I quite like Israel. The alt-right is sort of fundamentally hostile to these foreign entanglements that may or may not serve America’s interests, and I’m a fairly unreconstructed Zionist. I don’t expect everyone to agree with that.

I also really like this man [Slide: President George W. Bush]. And I was pro-Iraq [war] and I still am. The alt-right would mostly find that horrifying.

Of course, to the mainstream media, reporting accurately on the alt-right, and understanding the movement’s nuances instead of just shrieking “RACISTS,” is tantamount to leading the movement.

The media is consumed by virtue-signalling.

And yes, by the way, there are racists in the alt-right — but the movement is much bigger than just them.

The left’s motivations in branding the alt-right as skinheads with Twitter accounts are easier to understand when you realise that the left is responsible for creating it in the first place, as I’ll explain in a moment.

The problem is, they’re smearing an entire political generation as racist, and they don’t care who gets hurt in the process.

Spencer isn't "Alt Right". In fact, Alt Right is just a Media catch-all phrase for anyone that disagrees with their leftist agenda. Spencer is right wing extremist - a totally different animal. People like him get thrown off the Breitbart comments sections as quickly as any mindless Regressive Lefty troll does. Alt Right has nothing to do with "Nazis" or any of that crap. The "Alt Right" has almost as many classical leftists who fall into the MSM's category as it does conservatives or libertarians.

The term alt-right should be buried. It encompasses a far too large range of opinions.

It includes everyone on the right
except- some social conservatives, neocons, war hawks, open borders libertarians. Most others on the right could be labeled alt right.

There is one defining idea that does and ultimately could unite all of the alt-right along with a plurality of the populace. That is to protect and preserve western civilization.

If you love western civilization, its achievements and hate collectivism a great chance you are considered alt-right

Actually, there are two groups being lumped together right now by that label.

The first group is the group that is more like a "new Right" in the sense that they make memes aren't cowed by the rules of PC and generally like to have fun with the left and poke fun at them, sometimes in good fun and yes, sometimes slightly mean-spirited. Those are the true disciples of Breitbart. You might call them the younger right.

The other group are the true white nationalists and neo-nazis.

It serves the press very well to lump the two together because if the first group ever caught on any more than it already has, there would be a legitimate culture war brewing for the younger crowd. Best to delegitimize it now and try to kill it before it ever gets going.

He is a fool, the Alt Right will play the victim card and mobilize more people to their side. Exactly how they like to play.
