How did the mother know what the driver said, when she wasn´t on the bus?

Eyewitnesses in the form of children on the bus.
Not all of them died in the crash.

This is an appalling, tragic and horrific incident.

My thoughts are with the children who lost friends, the parents who lost children, and my prayers are for the souls of the dead.

It remains to be seen what possible motivation the bus driver could have had, for driving the bus in such a way as to cause this crash. As for his alleged utterance previous to it, there are better ways to warn a bus full of people that impact is imminent... it has to be assumed this was in some way a deliberate act therefore, otherwise, surely, the man would have said "Brace, brace, brace!" instead, assuming he had any wits of course.

I have no idea as to what the obvious question is. Can you clue me in as to what we're all thinking?

Thanks.

I thought I had heard on the news this morning that they had yet to retrieve the black box so I wonder how they determined he was speeding if, as they also said, there were no other vehicles on the road at the time.

Just a curiousity.

I hope this wasn't intentional, as if anything could make it worse for the poor families.

The only thing I can think of that he probably doesn't want to say was since he's a black driver, was he hopped up on something illicit/legit licensed/insert-other-stereotypes-here/etc.

She had three children on the bus. Two survived. It's quoted in my initial post.

The mother, who had three children on the bus, including one who was killed in the crash...

That never crossed my mind. It appears to be something cryptic they 'never would have thought of 10 years ago'.

I assume they are using a crash remodel. That can give them quite a bit of information.

I am just praying this was totally accidental and no one would do this to children on purpose!

Also wanted to share a link to the photo gallery which shows a curve on a two lane road with a 30 MPH speed limit sign.
Curve appears a little sharp.
I suppose if one jerked the wheel having led into the curve with a top heavy bus, it could easily flip onto it's side.

www.timesfreepress.com...

Nothing graphic, that I noticed, in the photos.

For me....I'm hoping it wasn't for political motivation. Pick your flavor of issue...race...religion...party....etc.

Hopefully, it was just horsing around, physical impairment or mental illness. But if it was for political motivation, people will lose their minds over it.

Thank you. It seems obvious to everyone but me. No clue what poster is referring to that's so obvious

I'd like to know the "obvious" question we're all thinking now too...

All that comes to mind for me is a possible false flag. That's not what I think this is, mind you, just what I think the "obvious" question may be.

I know right? What a great way to fuel all our prejudices and paranoias by stating "should be obvious,"

Our minds just all shoot off in different directions.

The poster said this twice and it feels weird to me. Bad form, Jack.

Right!

Struck me as odd as well... as if ATSers ever agree on what's "obvious." I'd rather try to herd cats!

What's the obvious question?

I don't get it.

ETA: Should have read through the thread before asking that.

In these politically charged times, you don't think the obvious question is "what was his motive?"

The article asserts the act was intentional. If so, MOTIVE is the next logical question.

No need. We're all stumped and it appears to have derailed this page of the thread entirely.

The article doesn't conclude it was intentional. It doesn't doesn't even hint at it.

It doesn't make any attempt to explain the alleged quote at all.

Perhaps that's why it's not obvious.

You..did read the article, right? Or did you just take the title as a confession?
