I'd wager the average female has a lower burden of harassment than similarly situated male. Same with democrats to republicans.

If people can not stand the heat they need to get the heck out of the internet and stop complaining.

The best to fight harassment is to ignored it.

But sadly most people egos are soo big they can not stay away from those that are harassing them.

Get a life.

If you have any kind of social media account in which you're using your real name, real photos, ect... you're a moron.

It was pretty hostile, at times revealing who you were on the net, even before everyone was online back before and when it was a/s/l and "send me a pic". Now it's all there, provided free by the user, not only Facebooks but blogs detailing people's every move.

IMO the net has never been a safe space but it's safer for some of they want to bully:
When it comes to bullying(trolling on the net) now days, people even do it with their pictures on their profiles because there are nil to none consequences compared to IRL. To some that should be an indication to realizing making anonymity a thing of the past does not work.

Trolling instead of differing opines: Harassment does shut down conversation. People know that thus why they use it when they want to be in the right.

Only because people have twisted the word harassment and bullying, like just about every other word these days. Being offended on the internet is not being harassed or being bullied. Especially on social media platforms. If you want an echo chamber safe space, join a closed forum meant to be that way.
