Don't you think they should? Wouldn't it be wise in a situation like this?--I would assume in the case of possible terrorism situation, a thorough bomb search is SOP.

It would be prudent...since he discharged a firearm inside a public establishment. Who is to say he didn't plant explosives inside?
DC police take potential terrorism very seriously.
