That looks really good. The servings are huge and have a nice color.

Thanks for coming though (with photos), Cowboy, I bet you and the family enjoyed.

The slices were more for show than for eatin', but it was well received.

I'm curious how it was to cook in a tinfoil pan with a tinfoil top ?

I've never cooked a roast or bird in a tinfoil pan like that... I have 600 different sized roasters that I've been cooking in for 30+ years (a few of them passed down from my grammy).

Do you have to baste more often in one of those ?

Looks like it turned out pretty tasty !

Yup, devilled eggs are a bit of a nuisance to make, peeling a dozen eggs, cutting them oh so perfectly in half, carefully scooping out the yolk, making the filling, and then piping it all back in to make them look all purdy and stuff... but soooo worth it.

The foil pan was for easier clean up. I was doing salads, deviled eggs, a potato dish and the ham. Just made for easier organizing.

Yup, the awesome thing about tinfoil pans is that you can just toss them out when you're done. I use them for when I'm making a bunch of dishes for potluck dinners, no need to worry about bringing any dishes home. But I've never tried them for a big roast or anything like that... I wouldn't mind giving it a go one of these days.

My girlfriends and I throw many big meals together at our local legion for the vets and their families (thanksgiving, rememberance day, christmas, birthdays, etc)... the foil pans are great for just tossing into the garbage can once everyone has picked them clean.

No need to wash a gazillion dishes afterward.

We prefer to spend our time having drinky-poos with everyone after the big chow down.
