The chain

I had this tree in the yard where I grew up, my dad had a padlocked chain around an elm or something like that. Well at about age 35, I was staying over for a holiday or something. Noticed the chain had fallen loose, the tree had a groove from where it grew, but the chain, was completely of the padlock, no break marks in the chain itself. Now logical some trickster has a universal key and snuck in and did that...but I entertain the possibility of ..a paranormal event.

And no my dad didn't do it, I asked.

Or cause over all the years the chain/padlock had heated up, expanded, been frozen in winter and the same for many years, it simply gave up as everything does? possible.

it was closed and locked, the chain was unbroken.

Is it possible that during cold weather or drought conditions the tree had contracted at some point enough for the chain to loosen and fall?

the point is I checked the chain, it was unbroken where the lock held it, it would of either had to be a key opening the lock, then closing it again. Or something else. And the chain was firmly in a groove where the tree grew bark over it, it was there for like 15 years.

Just to ask, but, what makes it paranormal for You?

the fact the chain was completely in tact, the pressure from the tree growing would maybe break the chain somewhere where as the lock wouldn't. But everything was unbroken, as if it had been unlocked. I think it was a paranormal event.
And the lock was never unlocked.

it's called a nuerophone a device to project thoughts or something, though I don't think it went beyond concept.
