Do a web search, freedom of speech doesn't apply while employed.

the 1st Amendment, which guarantees your "Freedom Of Speech", ensures that the government will not imprison, fine or punish you for free speech. I doesn't guarantee that your "Free Speech" will be free of consequences from other sources. One of those consequences may or may not be losing your job, depending on the terms of employment and what was said.

Thanks for the link and info.....

I admit I was wrong regarding freedom of speech, however what they said was still inappropriate.....wrong time and place to speak their mind imo

Cut off all Federal funding for liberal arts until they apologize and accept that the Presidency, House and Senate are controlled by Republicans. It's harsh but they need to be brought back to reality instead of living in fantasy playville world.

You just can't let go of these authoritarian delusions of yours. The fact that the GOP has a majority in both houses of Congress doesn't mean everyone else has to shutup "or else." I also don't think you know what "liberal arts" means.

Plus it was a minor display and hardly justifies a blanket ban on funding the Arts...liberal or otherwise.
