dude was called the white james brown. i love the music.
he is probably most well known for having jaco pastorius in the band. when jaco came into the band he did not even know how to read music and within 6 months he was the musical director.
the cc part stands for chitlin circuit.
here is some wayne

this song is absolutely amazing. this was the cc riders but it is an original jaco pastorius composition. it is a beautiful piece of instrumental music. you can tell he was getting close to his weather report feel

Hey, not to derail (sorry!).. but this song 1971 hits so hard. And sad that the artist ( a very big, but young guy) died of a heart attack before the album dropped. Ghostface, Biz Markie sampled it-- Baby Huey.

WOAH! YEAH! A lead guitarist player in a soul, horn band with 2 drummers in 1960's---we used to perform "Goin' Back to Miami" every night. Sometimes..many times...more than a few times.

Still my favorite some and Wayne was the true originator ow "Blue Eyed Soul" with the White Pompador hairdo and an exact dancing, singin, C.C.Riders showband set of a white James Brown.

Thanks, thanks thanks for the reminder! TST!!!
