Dedicated to the Fooman, written by unknown poet

Fairness

Is there anything in life that is actually fair?
Who determines it as fair?
What makes something fair?

We all complain that its not fair
Nothing in life ever is is the well-known reply.
But how do we know when something is actually fair?

Striving to achieve our best
Continuously raising our standards
And at the end-its not fair
Someone is always better than us.

Broken hearts, torn lives
Whats the point? I hear you ask.
After all, its not fair,
Life is a total illusion.
Claims of fairness being thrown to attention
Surely there has to be a fair solution.

You haven't even been a moderator for a week and you already let it gas you up. Not suprised.

I strive only to be the reasoning voice of chitchat, and i only uphold the rules set down by the others.
However if theres a plea about someone being unfair i guess i'm the one who looks into it and determines the outcome.

David, don't let it go to your head. I didn't post that poem for you or about what is fair in the chitchat forum. Even though you are the only mod assigned to this forum, don't forget about the super mods and admins, they are watching you.

I know very well they are watching me, which is why i am being civil to you. I'm not stupid, i know your trying to bait me into saying something you can whine about to everyone and its not gonna happen

Maybe you should be more clear to whom you direct the poem to, as its to the Foorman that would be..me?

No David, you are not the fooman, he knows who he is.

I am not trying to bait you, I simply posted a poem for the fooman. Your accussing me of baiting you, thats very "UNFAIR" David, already you are showing your true side of fairness

I suppose Ycon is addressing this to me, as I once used the handle: "FooManChu" in the old chat room to... um... I forget... was it bait some potential hackers? Dunno... forgot.

Anyway... somehow she feels I need a reminder in what "fairness" is.

Oh well then so it was a misunderstanding

Yep William, its to you.

and no, it wasn't "was it bait some potential hackers?"

Do you care to take another guess?

and YES, just a reminder

well i think its unfair that some crazy man spoke on here for how bloody long through someone who has the audacity to write about fairness???

I know this is a moot point but you certainly have nerve coming on here talking about fairness Ycon!

My reading of the 'poem' is that there is no such thing as fairness, that others will get more than you. Such is life, get used to it...

Here's another one

Fairness
author: Barbara Goodhew

If you are understanding and nice.
People ignore and dismiss you.
When you're nasty and demanding.
They answer your every command.
With some you have to be rude and pushy.
If not they just pass you off as whimpy.
Doesn't make sense at all .
Making others cynical.

It's kind of like, Expecting happiness is the main cause of misery.

Expect nothing and you will receive more than you ever dreamed of.

There is no such thing as fair.

I hate to break it to anyone who is seeking "fairness" but life isnt fair.... All energies otherwise spent seeking "fairness" are better spent getting on with your life and making the best of what you have... you will be far more impressed with the results in this way than in your results seeking "fairness".
