I fail to follow your logic.
There most certainly HAVE been extreme ends of the political scale in the US, and this has been the case for a great many years. The Civil Rights
movement is an example, but only one among many. Extremism is what defined the War on Terror. How easily can an entire region be made an enemy of, by
way of nothing more than paying agitators as proxies, to bring about such chaos in public, as demands a response from the ivory tower dwelling US
government? Not bloody much. That is about as extreme as you can get.
I cannot believe it is even necessary to explain to you, that your politics in the US has been extreme as all hell for years, and so biased to the
right is it, that you falsely and LOUDLY believe that any of the representatives in your politics, particularly with respect to the recent elections,
were liberal or leftist! Clinton is far right by leftist measures, because she is a murderous thug of a woman who does not care about the lives of
people who are different from herself. That is a far right ideology, and the fact that she paid lip service to the rights of citizens does nothing to
change the facts surrounding her actions. They are the actions of a dictator with a phobic level of enjoyment of war, and conquest over those seen as
possessing difference from oneself.
The closest you get to a socialist in your nation is Bernie Sanders, and even he is not an actual socialist! To really get in at the grass roots, you
have to have some callouses on your hands and dust under your nails from WORKING! By Christ! You seem to have no idea, collectively, what real
politics even IS over there right now, that is the thing that I cannot understand! The things you are being shown about your country by the media,
about your President, about his opposition, does nothing of this smack of history and extremism to you at all?
Capitalism breeds those who will defend the money tree at all costs, and that is the most extreme of all ideologies. To start wars for profit is the
SINGLE most extreme act anyone can partake of, and both sides of your political elite have been responsible in some part for such acts, yet you claim
to be unfamiliar with extremism? I say again, ARE YOU SERIOUS?
The reason we may seem more extreme in our politics over here in the UK sometimes, is because our people are aware to a greater degree than many
other populations, that our government is here to control us, not to serve us, and that is has always been the case. We are aware that they do not
empower, they enslave, because that is their habit, their desire, and their goal. We are aware of this because we all know someone whose union was
disbanded by Thatcher, or who helped erect the Welfare State, which saved the lives of innocent people whose only crime, far from not working hard
enough, was that they saw fit to work despite the fact that it paid poorly to do so, that people in the main worked themselves half to death for no
gain, because they had no choice, and were BROKEN by it. Generation after generation of people never becoming socially mobile despite decades of hard
labour, people who had sold their very lives in service to industry, and whose families saw nothing in return.
That situation, and the subsequent destruction of the unions, not to mention the ongoing dismantling of the work of my forefathers to create a
country in which the working poor need not die because no one was willing to pay for hard work to be done, if you were living in that reality sir,
would make you extremely pro-worker, extremely anti-management, and utterly devoted to the cause of preventing another generation being lost to such
grievous abuse again.
