I'll give you a bit of backstory, I heard this song on grooveshark about three years ago. I was working in my shop playing around with my forge. It is a whimsical song, in a folk bluegrass style. I only remember a single line " We can walk together, and talk about the weather." At the time I was grinding out a knife. I thought to myself, "I'll remember this, for many years.".

It is a personal failure of mine, that I do not remember the title, or the author. At the time, I couldn't care to look. I was engrossed by my craft.

As I look back on it, my craft was defined by that song.

Thank you for your aid, you warriors of knowledge.

"The Hatter's Folly"

Chains of Love by Erasure has similar lyrics.

If this is the correct song that's mega synchronicity - I've had Erasure's Living on the Ceiling going round in my head for days now.

I've been looking through all kinds of songs..
You definitely found whimsical, don't know that it's folky or bluegrass..
Closer than I've found anyway.
I bet you're right.

first line:

"Left get together we can talk about the weather"

Thank you, so much guys, You've got music in you that makes a life more interesting. Though, the song I was talking about is almost entirely acoustic. I greatly appreciate your suggestions. I'm listening to them now. Thank you.

If you think you can hum a few bars of it, you might have some luck that way using something like the app SoundHound. I've used it on Android (free) a few times with success.

Honestly, at the time I was into busking music. People coming together with the instruments that they had at their disposal... I apologize for my inability.

A year ago I looked into who played it, and grooveshark was shut down. I know that this is a hard problem.

"This post has 1 flag on it. What does that mean?"

Now, in the time of my posting this comment, it has 2 flags. Why would someone flag such an interesting thread as this?
