Bernie Sanders has urged millions of progressives “to mobilise and fight back at every instance” against Donald Trump’s presidency.

In a post-election interview with the BBC, the Vermont senator backed those who have protested against Trump’s election.

“Our job is to oppose him vigorously through millions of people in many many different ways,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. “I am very worried that a President Trump may take us back to where we were before, and we in the progressive community are not going to allow that to happen. We have travelled too far to descend back into racism and sexism.”

What is Sanders alluding to here? Is he continuing to egg on the violent protesters? That looks ambiguous.

I think Sanders may have just lost his mind right along with so many other liberals. Many of them simply can't handle opposing viewpoints.

I wonder what "bigotry" Sanders is referring to. Is it "bigotry" toward illegal immigrants? Is it the "bigotry" involved with wanting to carefully vet possibly dangerous refugees?

So much for the reaching across the isle bipartisanship the left preaches.

Considering the leader of the party and current POTUS never said a word about the protests, riots and general unrest, and Hillary never even talked to her supporters to reassure them the night of the election, I believe the intent is blatantly clear.

The only one who has addressed the current unrest, in a conciliatory tone, is Trump!

Bernie , shut up and go away. You are as close to being irrelevant as any politician has ever been. You can only demean yourself to the public even further.
From an ex=supporter. And , yes , I voted for Sanders in the primaries. But after he turned his back on us , I just gave the binary 0 0 1 0 0 salute to Sanders. I am done with him . D _ U _ N done

He is not speaking to protesters. He is saying that he knows he has enough of a following to act as a check and balance to Trump's rhetoric. Trump has been bigoted and racist and caused untold division because he has no control of his mouth. Examples are not needed at this point, they have been given on this site hundreds of times in video and direct quote.

It is not just immigrants, it is almost any group one can think of, including POWs.

Why would anyone be offended by a call to "fight against bigotry"?

But, Trump has. In tweets. One tweet at a reasonable hour condemning them and a 3am tweet saying how much he loves the protesters exercising their free speech. Hmmm

Irrevalent? NO. He is more relevant than in his entire career.
From long discussions of Clinton backstabbing him to statements that he would have beaten Trump, he is very much relevant.

He did not turn his back on us. I wanted Bernie to be POTUS. He did what he thought was best for the party. I cared for his issues and character so much, I decided to do as he said. It was not easy.

Trump has addressed the issue, silence or encouragement from the left.

Trump addressed the issue in opposite ways within hours. How is that any better. One against, one for.

You will note the good statement towards protesters was the later one.

Maybe Bernie doing what is best for his party and not for his country is why people are pissed?

Right, because the man who marched with MLK wants protesters to become violent. Right wing logic.

I can't believe that people are still falling for the falsehood spread by the media.
Trump is NOT racist.
Trump is NOT a bigot.

Bernie is continuing the falsehood to stir up the revolt.

I guess some people are just going to believe what they want to believe, proof or not.
