The BBC were given permission to tour Guantanamo Bay, until they were abruptly stopped by US guards claiming that security had beeen breached.

God knows how, but it seems that the US wanted to keep reporters at arms length from the imates.

It wasnt the BBC's fault the inmates tried to speak to them. Why is were the guards so afraid of that?

He told the BBC: "We are detaining the enemy combatants here in Guantanamo in a humane manner in accordance with the Geneva Conventions with the exception of the requirements of military necessity."

A conveniently vague caveat.Don't you think?

It's a hard one to comment on though.
Do you honestly believe that the reporters were allowed to "accidentally" talk to the inmates?
