Sen. Bernie Sanders called for “rethinking” the Electoral College and warned President-elect Donald Trump that he should expect more street protests if he pursues divisive policies. USA TODAY
SOURCE

It's looking to me like Trump was the least of a bully between himself, Clinton, and Sanders. It's frightening to think that Sanders was probably a Hillary Clinton heartbeat away from being POTUS.

Isn't Sanders egging on violent protesters by saying that Trump should expect more street protests if he pursues divisive policies? I thought Sanders was supposed to be the classy one of the group?

Incidentally, what policies can a president pursue that aren't divisive in some way? Is that even possible?

At what point do we start calling a spade a spade? This is terrorism. Sanders is supporting terrorism in my view.

Awful big jump from stating the obvious to supporting terrorists don't you think?

But hey what do I know I just don't have a predisposed bias when reading an article.

Those protesting are his base.

Right/wrong don't play into it. They could start killing Trump supporters and he's still defend them.

So is bernie asking for a constitutional convention with gop in control of 2 and soon to be all 3 branches of govt?
IMO bernie wants to end the dnc cause the ec wouldnt be the only thing changed.

Bernie is doing his best to remain relevant. They can protest all they want. It wont change the EC or the decision. There are "democracies" that those who prefer it to move to, the USA isnt one.

The kind of protests that we're seeing from liberals right now concerning Trump sometimes do meet the FBI's definition of domestic terrorism. My belief is that egging on the people doing this stuff is supporting terrorism. I believe it's indirect and extremely mild support, but it's a type of support nonetheless.

"Domestic terrorism" means activities with the following three characteristics:

Involve acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law;
Appear intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination. or kidnapping; and
Occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the U.S.

I really suggest before you become too righteously indignant, you do a search and look up the Electoral college and learn the concept before blindly commenting based on emotion.

Let me clarify.... this was not directed at Profusion in any way.... but rather at the commenters sure to follow.

2 out of three ain't bad.

What you've failed to address is the fact that Bernie wasn't supporting the actions of these Anarchists but stating that they will likely continue with their disobedience if Trump proposes/enacts divisive policies. Nowhere does Bernie infer that he supports such juvenile and illegal actions (protesting isn't illegal).

See here is the thing....Trump won!

He doesn't have to answer to Bernie or Hillary or De Blasio or anyone on the crazy ass left!

HAHAHA! Protest away....but be prepared to get arrested...it will happen!

Dems have been floating the idea of getting rid of the Elector College for a while now. They just never had the GOP or enough states on board with the idea. Maybe twice in 16 years will give it a jump start. I doubt it since it helped the GOP again.

Bernie Sanders is PATHETIC.

He even publicly endorsed crooked Hillary,
even after Wikileaks revealed the dirty tricks that Hillary Clinton and the DNC played against him during the primaries.

The question is:
"Does Bernie Sanders even have a backbone?"

in my opinion NO, he doesn't.

Well, considering that they only have to meet one of the criteria to qualify, does that mean they're double terrorists?

Bernie, like Hillary and Barrack, have not come out against those causing destruction and mayhem.

Instead he says that they should expect "more street protests." And while there are indeed non-violent protestors, the ones who are causing mischief are not being dealt with or addressed.

As of this moment, there are 65 days 13 hours 45 minutes or so until January 20, 2017 when Donald Trump is issued the oath of office of president of the United States of America.

The only ones I see being divisive are those who oppose him.

Well, to be fair, "violent protests" and "protests" are two different birds, so we shouldn't confuse the two. Warning that divisive policies will perpetuate protests in the streets is not terrorism--in fact, it's supporting and promoting the constitutional right to do so.

We should call this OP what it is: Hyperbole.

Bernie Sanders is a socialist[read communist]

Their ethos is "the ends justify the means"....

This most depraved of moral equivocation is inherent to the amoral progressive...

Tyranny, murder, and any form of villainy is fine so long as the end game is achieved...

This single statement, which is the driving force of the left, is the greatest encapsulation of the lefts proclivity for explaining their despicable crimes against humanity with moral equivoquation...

Moral relativism is the lefts creed and the scourge of our time...

And with the election of trump our great country may again walk in the light...reside in the places where right and wrong are acknowledged and no shades of gray exist...
Good or evil, black or white, right or wrong is obvious and only amoral relativistic progressives ignore this most basic of human instincts...

Bernie Sanders is a typical liberal and his predilection toward justifying villainy is a direct reflection of his progressive sensibilities…

Anything, no matter it's depravity, is allowed so long as it furthers their end goal of total and complete governmental control...

For me, I sit back and laugh at these protests…
Ecentually we may have to "whiskey rebellion" these fools…
But until then I will sit back and watch it as I would watch a Cowboys Super Bowl parade..with utter and complete juvenile excitement...

its not a big jump. The news has given preferential treatment to the violent protests in oregon so unless Bernie is commenting on the peaceful ones its perfectly reasonable to assume he is commenting on the violent ones. In fact, since he didnt specify WHICH protests he is referring to (probably on purpose) it is again reasonable to conclude he is giving cover to the violent protests.

Bernie is a politician, surely one with a good working knowledge of the english language and syntax and the nuances of communication. For him to not specify which protests he is referring to in the current social climate is reckless.

And if Trump had lost and all those on ATS carried out their stated intention of civil war (will take you two minutes of searching to find evidence of it if you think it wasn't said) then would Trump have supported them? The campaign caricature of Trump certainly would have. The normal Trump would have seen it as an interruption to his ability to make money and wouldn't.

Tricky, isn't it?

Thats at-least one thing that both he and Trump agree on.

In 2012 Trump called for a revolution saying "The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy".
